Thanks Fairy Much!!

I got a chance to play with my new Fairy Lily stamps yesterday. I scooped them up from All That Scraps the minute I saw them on the website and I just adore them!

I paired the image up with the cute new Doodlebug papers...yes, I used them only a couple of days ago, so they were still laying on my craft table, just crying out to be used again!! hehee!

I stamped Lily and her little green friend on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink (are you sick of hearing me say that yet??) and coloured her in using my Copic markers. The colours I used are: E000, R20, E34, G20, YG03, R81, R83 and YR20.

The card base is Certainly Celery with Pixie Pink and Barely Banana for layering. Of course I pop dotted everything and added some pretty Prima Caboodles. I finished it off by outlining her fairy wings using my Clear Spica pen!!

Well, I'm off to work all day today at the library but then I've got tomorrow off from work as it's Canada Day!! Yippee for a day off!!

Have a super inky day!!

Bloom and Grow!

I can't believe that I forgot to share this card with you....I made it a couple of months ago! I went back in my archives to double check and sure enough, I haven't shown it yet! *gasp* It features an image from the Magnolia Spring Kit, I think.....my memory sucks so I could be wrong!

I coloured the image using the Bloom and Grow papers by My Mind's Eye as inspiration....they are so summery and lovely. The rest of the card is fairly simple as I wanted the focus to be the sweet image, which I coloured with my Copics.

The layout is my own design...hehe...feel free to use it! I believe I used Tangerine Tango for the base and then used some die cut pieces from the MMEye kit. I stamped a CCDesigns sentiment on the tag and added some ribbon and tied it with linen thread. Everything is pop dotted....as usual...and then I added a pretty button to finish it off!

Well, it's supposed to rain most of the week here which kinda sucks because we have the Canada Day holiday on Wednesday. But I'm only working three days this week, so I don't really care!! Hahaha!! I'm going to get LOTS done in my craft room later this week....woohoo! But for now, it's off to the library!

Have a super inky day!!

High Hopes Challenge #37!!

Sorry I'm a tad late this morning, but I actually whipped up this card just this minute!! I have a baby shower to go to this afternoon and I hadn't made the card yet....and I hadn't made my card for this week's High Hopes challenge....so I killed two birds with one stone!! Yaaaay me!

The hostess this week is the lovely Lacey and she has challenged us to use Stars or Stripes on our designs. I did both!! I stamped Precious Cargo on Wausau paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it in with my Copic markers. Like I said, I made this just now in half an hour, so no fancy shading etc. today.

The card base is a green Bazzill Bling 5 1/4 inch square card with Sparkle Bazzill Bling for the matting, stars and sentiment layers. The patterned papers are by Dream Street and I used my star punch to add some embellishing. I stamped the sentiment on the reverse side of the Bling cardstock and pop dotted everything!!

The baby's name is Bentley and he isn't born yet but we'll be celebrating him today at the shower. I hope his Momma likes the card!!

Now hop on over to the High Hopes blog and check out all the wonderful samples created for your inspiration....then get stampin' and show us your Stars and Stripes!!!

Have a super inky day!!

Sunshine Anya!!

Well, good Saturday mornin' to ya!! I guarantee yours will be better than mine because I'm workin'!! Yuck!! So I'm sharing this bright and cheery summer card to hopefully start my day off on the right foot!

Yesterday morning I had a chance to play a little bit before heading to work in the afternoon, so I pulled out this Sunishine Anya image from the newest Teen Anya set that I scooped up at The Town Scrapper as soon as she got them in stock!! And then I paired it up with some wonderful new Doodlebug papers that I just got from All That Scraps!! The colours just make me think of sherbet!!

Anya was stamped on Wausau bright white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I coloured her in with my......handy, dandy....Copic markers!!!! (Did anyone ever watch Blue's Clues with their kiddos?? Emileigh loved that show.) The markers I used were: E00, R20,YR20, YR21, R81, R83, R85 and G20. Then I cut the image out.

The wonderful layout is from this week's Friday Sketchers challenge and I love it!! The base is a 6x6 square of Bazzill Bling green with some yellow Bazzill and Pixie Pink for matting and layering. I also added some of the wonderful Prima Caboodles that I got at ATS as well! I think they really finish it off!

Aaaaah! Well, that card definitely puts a smile on my face...and I hope it does that for you too! Have a wonderful Saturday!!

A Work of Heart!

I've been working so hard over the last week or so (not to mention working at my 'real' job) getting ready for a couple of upcoming releases, that I don't have anything new to show you today. *gasp* I know!! How shocking! And then I remembered that I hadn't posted this card yet!!

This design features one of the Hanglar stamps that a friend sent me a long time ago! And the sketch that I used was from a challenge a while back but I can't remember which one. The patterned papers that I used are from the Pretty Please paper pack by My Mind's Eye.

The card base is a 6x6 square card using Sparkle Bazzill Bling....love that stuff! I also used Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Apricot Appeal for matting. I coloured the image in using coordinating Copic markers and used my rectangle Nesties to cut her out and emboss her. I actually made this card before I started keeping track of the marker colours that I used, so I can't tell you that. Sorry!

I used my slot punch on the main layer and tied some satin ribbon. I also added some tiny flower punches and rhinestones down the left side. The sentiment is from AmyR's Friend Sentiments and I pop dotted everything!

I can't wait to show you all the new release stuff I am working on right now. There is so much fun stuff coming up...so cute!! If only I didn't have to go to work so much...*insert giant eye roll here*.

Have a super summer day!!

Summer Time Challenge!!

The challenge this week over at the All That Scraps blog is to do something summery!!! You know it's starting to feel like summer, isn't it?? It's so warm and sunny!!

I used some summer papers called Cabana from Inque Boutique. Love the colours....just makes me think of the beach, which is perfect for this little Waving Emma Sugarplum image!

The card base is a Groovy Guava textured cardstock 6x6 square with So Saffron matting. I cut Emma out and embossed the edges using my Nesties and coloured her using my Copic markers. I also drew in the beach line with my Copic Multiliner pen. The scalloped layer is in Groovy Guava and I added some GG stitched grosgrain ribbon too! The Beach Sentiment is stamped on So Saffron and pop dotted, along with the main layer. I finished it off by adding some Prima hydrangeas and some small paper flowers in the centers (they were from the $ store)!! Isn't she fun??

Later this morning you'll find more samples on the ATS Blog for this summer challenge!! Why don't you play along???

Lilac Tilda!

Wow! It's warming up here in Ontario! What's it like where you are? I'm not a huge fan of the heat....especially the humid stuff. I'm a fragile flower, don'tcha know? I wilt in the heat. I'm just so thankful that we have central air conditioning!!

Anyhoo, I have a card to show you this morning that I made for a friend. She hasn't received it yet (I only mailed it yesterday) so I won't tell you who it's for. She might stop by and read this! Hehe!!

This is another new Tilda image from Magnolia Designs and I paired her up with the Wisteria papers by Basic Grey. I used this week's fantastic layout from the Friday Sketchers challenge. The card base is Elegant Eggplant with Almost Amethyst and Baja Breeze for matting and accents.

The image is stamped on Neenah Smooth cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I coloured her in using my Copic markers o' course! I also drew in the grass with my Copic multiliner pen. I attached some yummy Prima hydrangeas with Basic Grey brads, added some white satin ribbon and added a CCDesigns sentiment. I hope my friend likes it!!

Here are the Copic markers I used, in case you are interested: E00, R20, E41, E42, E43, E31, YG91, B60, B52, BV20 and V09.

As I said, I'm off to work at the library all day today, so no stampin' fun for me. I have to go to a workshop this afternoon with role playing and all. Blech. I HATE role playing....I mean who really likes it?? WHY do they make us do it? I feel ridiculous. Anyhoo, after work I'm going to get my eyes tested...I need new glasses. Lots of fun!

Have a super Tuesday!!

Happy Summer, Riley!

Well, it's officially summer now and yesterday was nice and warm here. I think the rest of the week is going to be the same, maybe even a little hotter....and then we'll be complaining about the heat! Haha!!

This is a card that I made a couple of weeks ago using a sketch over at Card Positioning Systems. Yes, I'm a little behind in posting it. What's yer point? It's a tall card made with Very Vanilla cardstock and I used some patterned papers that I got from The Town Scrapper (who also carried the Riley stamps). I stamped him on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured him in with my Copics, rounded the corners, distressed the edges and matted it on Brocade Blue. I stamped the CCDesigns sentiment on So Saffron and pop dotted everything. Then I finished it off by attaching a bunch of different sized buttons across the middle in a wonky line. Adds texture and colour!

I'm off to do some running around this morning and then workin' this afternoon. It's a short day for me, so not too bad. Have a super sunny day!!

High Hopes Challenge #36!! - Use Up Your Scraps

Good morning stampers! It's that time of the week again, time for another challenge from the High Hopes gang!!

This week our hostess is Jeanne and she would like us to Use Up Your Scraps!! We all have them...scraps, I mean. I do my best to try and keep them all in one place. I have containers on my desk to put different sized leftover cardstock pieces and patterned paper, but...they don't always make it there. So I have a lot on my table too. Anyway, this week I got to use some up!

Everything you see on my card is a leftover scrap of something, except for the ribbon. Even the image was already stamped and on my table! I used Sweet Little Thing and some leftover WeRMemorykeepers paper, along with a Chocolate Chip card base and Baja Breeze and Pumpkin Pie for matting. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped on some leftover Bazzill cardstock and I added some Rose Red grosgrain ribbon and a button with some twine. I finished it off by adding a little orange Stickles to the cupcake!

Now hop on over to the High Hopes blog and check out the fabulous creations from our design team! I'm always amazed at their creativity! Prepare to be wowed!! Then get busy and use up some of your scraps and you could win some HH rubbah!!!

Have a super inky day!!

High Hopes Hay Ride Card Kits!!!

Happy Saturday to ya!! Mine will be spent at the library but it's supposed to rain most of the day here, so that's alright! Hehe.

Remember how I said I was workin' on some top secret stuff at Scrappin' Great Deals the other day?? Well, I came up with a little idee-er! Each month, usually at the beginning of each month, Andrea and I create these awesome Card Kits for the store and each month they sell out in like, a week! Then everyone has to wait another month for the next one. Sooooo, I had a day off this week, so I went over to the store and put together another kit!

Now these mid-month kits are totally random...(read: whenever I have extra time to work on something)...so keep your eyes peeled for them. Also there are less of them available for purchase, so they are limited edition and once they're gone, they're gone. So if you see one and you like it, snap it up before everyone else does!

This time I decided to create the kits around this fun High Hopes image from their latest release. It's called Hay Ride and features these two little cuties havin' fun in the yard! I paired it up with some fun Daisy Bucket patterned papers and they look smashing!!

Each kit includes:

1 clingmounted High Hopes Hay Ride stamp
6 - 6x6 gorgeous Daisy Bucket double sided patterned papers
6 - Bazzill cardstock card bases in 3 colours
6 - A2 sized white envelopes
6 - clear rhinestones - bling!!
An assortment of Imaginisce paper flowers, a bunch of flower brads and green brads, some Maya Road chipboard pieces and lots of extra cardstock pieces.

You have enough to make 6 cards and have lots leftover, not to mention keeping your awesome High Hopes stamp forever!! I've included a couple of samples that I made using the kit contents.

Here are the Copic marker colours that I used: E00, R20, R05, Y21, E42, E43, E44, E47, E31, W1, W3, W5, B45, B41, YG03, G20 and N0.

Now hop on over to the SGD site or give Sheila a call to reserve your kit!! And while you're at it, book yourself a seat at our Copic class this Thursday night, June 25th!! We were full last Sunday with 20 ladies and had so much fun!!

Alright, well I hope your Saturday is more crafty than mine is gonna be!!! haha!! Happy stampin'!!

Kimmie and Tara Challenge!!

I know you've been waiting for it.....we're a little behind this month, or are we still on last month, Tara?! haha!! It's been a while since our last Kimmie and Tara Challenge and it's all my fault! I kept forgetting to mail out the images to Tara, then I got them all packaged up and the envelope got buried on my desk (if you saw my desk, you'd understand)...so it's totally my bad that we are behind.

But with this combo of adorable image and super sweet papers, I hope you'll enjoy them!!!! I sent Tara some of the new Heidi Pixie images by CCDesigns and Tara sent me some of this scrumptious, fruity designer paper!! Don't ya think they are perfect together? I have to admit, when I first started, I wasn't so sure...but now I LOVE them together!! She's a fruity fairy!!

The image is stamped on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I coloured her in with Copics that coordinated with the yummy dp. The card base is a 6x6 square Yoyo Yellow card with Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose for matting. I paper pierced all around the frame of the bottom later and added some sheer green polka dot ribbon and tied it in a bow. I attached some Prima flowers with $ store flower centers with Zip-Dry (the best liquid glue). The sentiment is by Pink Cat Studios and I stamped it on a bit of blue cardstock to give it a little pop! I pop dotted the sentiment and the focal layers and finished her off by adding some super sparkle with Stardust Stickles on her wings!!

For those that are interested, here are the Copic colours that I used: E00, R20, YG03, YR12, YR14, B000, B00, R35, R32 and Y08!

She really makes me think of summer....ahhhh! Sadly it's raining cats and dogs here in Southwestern Ontario today. BUT it's my day off....good reason to stay indoors and stamp....I mean clean.....NO, I mean stamp!! Haha!!

Be sure to hop over to Tara's blog and check out the design she made using the same ingredients!! I can't wait to seeeeee!!! Thanks again for another fab challenge, Tara!! Mwah!!!

Rainy Day Tilda!

I had another chance to play with a stamped Magnolia image from my friend Angela the other day. This one...I just HAVE to get her! I love images with umbrellas. And this great layout is from this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge!

This one, again, is stamped on the Neenah Smooth cardstock....love it....with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The patterned papers I chose are from the new Pretty Please kit by My Mind's Eye. The card base is a 6x6 square in rosey Bazzill Bling withe Barely Banana and Regal Rose to mat. I coloured Tilda in with my Copics, o' course! Then I cut her out and embossed her with my Nesties. I used my Apron Lace border punch on the Regal Rose, added some gorgeous satin ribbon that I picked up at the $ store, believe it or not, and finished her off by adding some wonderful Prima Caboodles that I picked up at The Town Scrapper. Ain't she a cutie???

People have asked where to get the Neenah cardstock and I'm doing a bit of research in that area. There are a couple of places over the border that sell it but I refuse to pay ridiculous shipping prices, especially when I might get dinged for duty and exchange as well. But I did find out that All That Scraps carries their own 'Copic Quality Cardstock' and I'm going to try that out. I'll let you know when it gets here!! If you know of anywhere in Canada that sells it, please let me know!

Happy stampin'!!

Just Splashing By...

It's a rather wet and rainy day here in Ontario today, so the only splashing I'll be doin', is in the puddles! But I wanted to share this super summery Lily card anyway!

I'm having fun playing with my new Pink Cat Studios stamps that I scooped up from All That Scraps a few weeks ago. This is another one from Lily at The Beach.

The card base is Kraft cardstock and the patterned paper that I used on the card and for colour inspiration is from a DCWV Summer Stack. I stamped Lily on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. I drew in the beach line with my Copic multiliner pen and created the beach by colouring with E31 over the entire area and then dotting with some darker browns and greys and then finishing it off with a little sparkle using my Sakura Stardust gel pen. I also made her swimming mask shiny with some crystal lacquer.

I made the bottom border using the waves border punch on some Brilliant Blue cardstock and also used So Saffron and Real Red for matting the focal layer. I added some assorted buttons and pop dotted everything, including the coordinating sentiment that also comes in the set.

For those that are interested, here are the Copics that I used: E11, R20, B24, Y21, R29, E21, BG10, E31, E35, E55 and W3.

Today's my day off from the library, but I'm heading over to the store to work on some top secret stuff...heehee. Have a stampin' great day!!

Sunshine and Sunflowers!!

I just love this crafty industry...don't you?? Just when you think you've got it all figured out and you've found your favourite this or that and you'll never use anything else....someone else introduces you to something NEW!!! Aaah.

One of my fave 'students' at my classes is Angela! She is always thrilled to be hangin' out and stampin' away with all of us gals and she's just a bright, shiny presence! (It could be that she's just excited to have a day to herself, what with three kiddos all under the age of 5, but I like to think that it also has something to do with our super fun classes!) Well, at Sunday's class she introduced me to some new white cardstock...and I'm in L-O-V-E!! It's Neenah Smooth cardstock and she sent me home, not only with some stamped Magnolia images but also with a few sheets of the Neenah to try out!! Thank you, Angela!!

Yesterday morning I had a couple of hours to play before work, so I made this card!!! The image is Angela's and I ADORE it! I want it!! The best thing I find about this cardstock is that it's just a little bit smooth so it doesn't soak up the ink. So when I stamp something in Memento ink, it gives a nice crisp, clean, dark image, which I love! Also the Copic ink shows up nice and bright too!!

So I started with a 6x6 Chocolate Chip square base and the patterned papers are from the new Early Bird line from Cosmo Cricket! I matted and accented with Real Red and Blue Bayou. I used a Fiskars border punch on the side, added lots of Prima flowers with antiqued brads and added a High Hopes sentiment on Marigold Morning cardstock. I pop dotted everything and added a little bit of white highlights on Tilda's cheek with a gel pen.

Here are the Copic markers that I used: E00, R20, E43, E44, E47, BG10, BG18, YR21, YR23, R29, YG03 and G82!

Thanks again, Angela! I have a new favourite white cardstock thanks to you!

Well, I'm working all day today, getting back into the swing of things at the library after being off for a week. I've got lots to catch up on so I'll be busy, busy. Hope you have a good one!!

Make a Wish....and a Sale!!

Happy Monday morning, stampers! I think it's supposed to be a nice sunny one here in Ontario, but I have to go back to work today. Boo. My week off was lots of fun and fairly relaxing, but it's back to reality this week. *sigh*

While I was off, I did get to play with some new stamps! I pulled out Once Upon a Time by Lizzie Anne Designs and played with it for the very first time!

I just adore this little frog prince, so I stamped him three times, coloured him in using G82 and Y32 Copics and punched him out....with a square punch, not my fist..baaahahaha! The card base is Certainly Celery with Bashful Blue and So Saffron cardstocks for matting and accents. The designer paper is an older set from Stampin' Up but went perfectly with this little hopper!

I stamped the sentiment which is from Everyday Sayings, on some of the dp and made it the fourth square. I pop dotted everything and added some buttons threaded with some hemp twine! Isn't it cute??

And here's some exciting news!! Lizzie Anne Designs is having a HUGE Inventory Moving Sale and almost everything is 20-50% off!! That includes both the sets that I used on this card today!! But the sale only lasts for a couple of days, so 'HOP' on over to the LAD website and check out the deals!!

Well, have a super Monday!
