Challenge 56 - Seeing Spots!!

It's Saturday again and you know what that means.....at least what it means on on my blog!! It's time for another super fun Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge!!

This week....I'm the hostess!! Wahoo! Now I looooooove my patterned paper....I mean, I can create without out because I use it as a starting point for all my cards and scrapbook pages. And I have a LOT of it....some might say too much.....but those people aren't allowed to come over and play with all my paper!! Haha! Now some of my favourite patterned paper, is polka dotted paper!! I love it!! So this week's challenge is Seeing Spots!!! Show us some spots or dots on your paper, in your image, on your ribbon...whatever you've got!! And if you play along, be sure to show us what you've created and you could win some new KKStamps!!

My card features the new and lovely Lavender the Quilter from our November Krafty Girl release! And by the way, if you play along, you could win this stamp!! I pulled out some retired Stampin' Up papers which had this lovely chocolate design with tiny white polka dots. I stamped Lavender and coloured her in with my Copics, leaving out the quilt itself. Then I stamped the image on the green patterned paper and cut out the quilt, paper piecing it onto the main image. I added a bit of shading with a green Copic marker in the folds.

I added some pink ribbon and a nice big bow. Then I broke out my luscious Prima glittery flowers and used two of them, count them, TWO of them on my card....and that was difficult, let me tell you. Good thing I've got lots more! Lastly I stamped the sentiment, which comes with Lavender, along with TWO accessory stamps....and voila!!

Now hop on over to the KKStamps Challenge Blog and check out all the awesome inspiration that the other Krafty Girls have for ya!!!

Happy kraftin'!

Challenge 55 - Let's Get KRAFTY!!!

It's Saturday and I'm so excited!! I love the weekend! Also I went to see the new Harry Potter movie last night with my BFF, Emileigh! Heehee! We always have a standing date when the new movies come out! Anyway, I'm typing up this post on Friday night before we go to the show because it will be after 1am when we get home. So I can't tell you what the movie is like yet, but I guarantee it was AWESOME!!!

This week's challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is brought to you by the incredibly talented Melanie!!! She'd like us to 'Get Krafty with the Krafty Girls' by using Kraft cardstock on our projects!!! Well, that's an easy one for me...I love Kraft cardstock!

This time I used the fun little Skiing Miles which is from our new release collection of Steven Leary designs. You can pick him up by himself or along with his cohorts in this month's Gimme Kimmie's Kit #2....but only for a limited time.

I stamped him on Neenah and used my Copics to colour him in. Then I sponged around the frame with a couple of different colours of chalk ink and then distressed the edges with my sharp scissors.

The card base is Kraft cardstock, of course, and the patterned papers are from the new Bo Bunny 6x6 pad Midnight Frost Collection. I used Bliss Blue and Navy cardstocks for matting. That cute little sentiment comes with Skiing Miles also....just perfect for the image. I added some antique pewter snowflakey things from K&Company and lastly I added a bit of velvet ribbon from Webster's Pages across the middle. I think Miles is catchin' some air...what do you think?

We'd love for you to join us in this week's challenge and if you do, you could win some KKStamps rubbah!!! Be sure to hop over to the Challenge Blog and check out all the 'Krafty' inspiration from our oh-so Krafty Girls!!!

Happy kraftin'!

Cute Card Thursday Meets Piper!!!

This week Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring the Cute Card Thursday sketch challenge!!! I LOVE their sketches!!! And the one they've got this week works perfectly with lots of our images!

I decided to play with Piper this time.....I haven't picked her up since last winter, I think. I love her outfit and of course, I think her little mug is filled with delicious hot chocolate!! Or some strong coffee would be okay too!!

The papers I use are from a 6x6 pad by Paper Salon I picked up last year....at the dollar store! Yep! Love these colours! I stamped Piper on Neenah white cardstock and coloured her in using coordinating Copic markers. The card base is textured Sage Shadow and I also used Almost Amethyst for matting. The rest is all from the pad.

The sketch is fun with three stripes on the main layer, so I used one of the plaid ones for that. The middle strip actually has a little bit of glitter on the snowflakes. I punched some big snowflakes out of white glitter cardstock and attached them with silver brads. Then added some lilac coloured twill across the middle. I stamped the sentiment, which is from Holiday Sentiments, and then cut it out with a tag Spellbinder and hung it from the ribbon with linen thread. Ta daaaaaaa!

Be sure to hop over to the CCThursday blog and check out the samples that some of the dt made for your inspiration! Then join us for the challenge and you could win some KKStamps!!!

Happy kraftin'!

Sweet Holiday Wishes!

Happy Tuesday all! It's another chilly one here in Southwestern Ontario. I'm NOT looking forward to seeing any of that white stuff, but I hear they are getting it in some parts already. Gross!!

Today I have a card that I put together when I went away to a weekend crop a couple of weekends ago. I got something like 13-14 cards done over the two days. It was a lot of fun.

I hadn't played with Noelle yet and I thought she'd be perfect with these fun patterned papers. They are from last year and I believe they are called Colorful Christmas by MME. I just love the colours in them....pink, green, purple, turquoise!

I stamped her up on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her up with my handy dandy.....Copics!! Then I sponged around the edge with a light blue chalk ink. All the cardstocks I used are Bazzill textured and Bling! The diecuts I used came with the 12x12 pack of paper, so I added a trio of trees and also attached a pretty snowflake with a pink brad.

I finished off the card by stamping the Sweet Holiday Wishes sentiment which comes with Noelle. She also has a really fun candy cane stamp too!

Are you working on your Christmas cards? What stamps are you using?? Hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and check out our Christmas and winter images, along with the *new* November release that just arrived!! And our Gimme Kimmie's Kits are back again!!

Happy kraftin'!

November Release and Krafty Hop.....the End!!

Welcome to the end of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Hop!! There was LOTS of eye candy along the way, wouldn't you say? If you just happened to stop by my blog today, I'm sure you will want to start at the beginning over at the Challenge Blog!

I have two cards to show off today!! The first features probably my favourite stamp from this month's Annie images.....that's because I named her after.....our artist Annie Rodrigue!!! Isn't she a cutie patootie?? This is Annie the Artist!! Wish I had her figure! Ha! It's a fun image to play with because she's left the painting blank so that you can put whatever you like on there! Check out the website for some samples of what others have done with the 'painting'!

I used my new Pixilicious papers from Cosmo Cricket and matching cardstocks from Stampin' Up. I stamped Annie on Neenah white cardstock using Memento ink, as I do all my images. And I coloured her up using my Copic markers.

The fun sketch is from the new Card Positioning Systems challenge for this week! Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring the blog this week and the sketch us just perfect for lots of our images, so be sure to play along!

I added some crocheted ribbon across the middle and attached some yummy Prima hydrangeas with brads. Then I finished it off by adding the sentiment that comes with Annie the Artist! (She also comes with a paintbrush accessory stamp!)

Next up is such a sweet image from the release of Steven Leary winter fun images!! This little dude is called Skating Polar Pal and I just think he is too cute! I used the new Bo Bunny papers for that wintry feel....along with an acrylic glittery snowflake!!

I'm enjoying playing with colouring up the polar bears in this release (there are also some ADORABLE polar bear cubs in Miles and Winter Friends) and learning how to make their fur come alive. I generally use the cool greys to shade a little bit on the inside of the lines and then flick my BG0000 around the outside of the image to make the polar white fur pop.

I added some Stardust Stickles across the bottom to make the 'ice' sparkly! I added some tiny white twill and tied it in a bow and then finished off the card by adding the Beary Christmas sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments set!

And that's it, that's all!!! That's the end of the HOP! I hope you have been inspired by all the amazing creations that you've seen along the way! Now you can hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop, because ALL the new stamps are available, along with the Gimme Kimmie's Kits!!

Happy kraftin'!

More Krafty Peeks....with a Challenge!

Back for more, are ya?? haha! Well, this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is to use some Funky Fibers......some fun ribbon, rick rack, lace, twine....whatever you've got!! Let's get Funky!!!

For my card, I used the *new* Mona the Seamstress! She is from our November release which will be available TOMORROW!! Yaaaaaaaay! Here's a little tidbit of trivia for ya.....this image was drawn by the phenomenally talented Annie Rodrigue and she based it on her Mom who is a seamstress!!! And yep, you guessed it....I named her Mona because her Mom's name is MONA!!! How fun is that?!

So I stamped the image on Neenah cardstock using Memento ink and coloured her up with my Copics.....stop me if you've heard this one before....teehee! I used some lovely new papers from Cosmo Cricket...I believe the pad is called Nutmeg and I just love the rich fall colours!

The cardstocks are Chocolate Chip and Old Olive, along with some Pumpkin Pie....mmmmmm. I sponged around the frame of the main layer with Wheat chalk ink, added some SU buttons with linen thread and added some LOVELY lace across the middle. Then I finished it off with the perfect sentiment......which, by the way, comes with Mona along with a cute little accessory stamp of a pair of scissors!!!

I hope you can join our fun challenge this week, because you could be the random winner of this particular stamp from the new release! Be sure to come back tomorrow because we'll have a Krafty little blog hop to celebrate release day and the new stamps will be available in the KKStamps Shop!!

Now hop on over to the challenge blog and check out the inspiration over there!!! Then get stampin'!!!!

Krafty Peeks....Day TWO!!

So are you enjoying the samples of new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps you've seen so far? Well, we've got some more for ya!!!

First off, I've got the lovely new Natalie the Knitter!! I love this image so much, because my 'kraftiness' started early....like around 6 years old....with knitting! My krafty Mommy taught me how to knit when I was little and I've done it for years! I LOVE knitting little baby outfits....cardigans, booties, hats....so cute! I haven't picked up my needles in a couple of years ago though....since I started stamping full time....haha!

Anyway, Natalie is on Kiyoshi Basic Grey cardstock and coloured up with my copic markers. I used Early Espresso cardstock for the 6x6 card base, lots of yummy flowers and satin ribbon across the middle. Natalie comes with the Knit Happens! sentiment and a cute little ball of yarn accessory stamp!

Next up is probably my FAVOURITE new Miles the Mouse image! It's called Miles and Winter Friends....are those polar bear cubs the cutest, or what??

The card base is Kraft cardstock and I used the new Bo Bunny patterned papers and coordinating cardstocks. I added a nice big sparkly snowflake punch, a button and linen thread. Then I added some satin ribbon across the middle and then the snow by adding some white flocking mixed with glitter. The final touch is the Polar Pals phrase from the Holiday Sentiments set.

Now be sure to hop over to the challenge blog and check out what everyone else has to share!!

Let's Get KRAFTY!!! - Krafty Peeks Day ONE!!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It's time to get KRAFTY!!! I've been waiting for this ALL month!! Honestly!! All the Krafty Girls have some awesome new peeks to share with you, featuring the new November Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!

Today I have two cards to show you! The first one uses the Krafty Stamper!!! Eeeeee! Isn't she just perfect? I think she could be each one of us, doin' our Krafty thing!!!

I used my new Pixielicious paper pad....I just love the colours! I coloured her up using coordinating Copic markers and sponged around the edges with lilac chalk ink. All the cardstock is Bazzill and of course I used Neenah white.

The purple ribbon I found in my stash matches perfectly and I put together a mixture of Prima flowers and added lots of pearls, a la my girl Tara! Doesn't the Krafty Stamper look like me?? Or you?? Or any one of us?? She's a hoot!

Next up is a new image by Steven Leary called Mice Angels! It looks like Miles and Maisie are on a date, having some wintertime fun! For this one I used the awesome new Christmas designer papers from Stampin' Up (can't remember what the name of it is). The striped paper is so pretty and sparkly!

I stamped Mice Angels on Neenah using Memento ink and coloured them up using my Copic markers.....o' course! Then I cut them out with my Nesties and sponged around the frame while it was still in the Nestie. Then I added some Diamond Twinklets...I think that's what it's called....around the image as the 'snow'. It looks so pretty in real life.

Then I stamped the bonus sentiment, which comes with the Mice Angels, on Pink Pirouette paper and then attached it with this fun big button and some twine. Oh and there's some fun pink ribbon and a bow on there too! Love them!! So cute!!

Now be sure to hop on over to the KKStamps Challenge Blog and see who else has stuff to show you today! The Krafty Girls AND Krafty Guests have some gorgeous creations to see! And come on back tomorrow for MORE Krafty goodness!!!

Challenge 53 - How Distressing!!!

It's Saturday again! And you know what that means!! It's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge!!!

But before I get to that.....let me tell you what happened to me today!! So this weekend is my stampin' getaway with my girlies and I've been looking forward to this for a while now....I really need a couple of days away to have fun and relax a tiny bit after the busyness of the last few weeks. So for the last few days I've been preparing...packing up all the stuff I wanted to bring with me....my Copics, my ink, paper, patterned paper, flowers, ribbon, punches, nesties...you know the drill.

Do you ever head out on a trip and feel like you think there is something you may have left behind? You do your mental checklist and you remember putting everything important in the vehicle. So we drive about two hours up north in the middle of nowhere. Yaaaay! We're finally here! We're all excited and we start carting in our vanload of 'stuff'....and slowly I come to realize that my bag of clothing....is nowhere to be found. Apparently that's what I left behind. So....I'm here.....stamping and colouring.....nekkid. JUST kidding! haha! Thankfully I have friends who don't mind sharing!

Anyhoooooo.......this week's awesome challenge is brought to you by the totally terrific TARA! She wants us to distress our creations in any way you like! For my card I used the new NICK! I opened up a new pack of Stampin' Up designer papers that I just got and stamped Mr. Nick on Neenah cardstock and coloured him up using my Copics. Then I distressed up just about every single layer on this card and I love all the texture! I added some taffeta ribbon and some shiny silver brads. Doesn't Nick look dapper?!

So if you'd like to join us for our distressing challenge this week, just use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation and then show it off over at the challenge blog! And be sure to hop over there and check out the gorgeous samples from our Krafty Girls and Guests!!

Happy kraftin'!
