Challenge 93 - Michele's Gettin' Sketchy!

It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge! Who wants to play???

This week our fabulous hostess is Michele and she has created an awesome sketch for us to use!! It's perfect for lots of our stamps and I had a great time using it for my inspiration. Sketch challenges are always my favourite because it takes all of the guess work out of creating the card, which is always the hardest part for me! So go ahead and use Michele's sketch as your starting point and join us for some fun!!! And if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your creation, you could be the random winner of the Potionmaster stamp that she's used on her card!

For my creation, I pulled out the lovely Elaine! I hadn't had a chance to ink her up yet and I hadn't cracked open my new Fancy Pants 6x6 pad called It's the Little Things yet either! Yaaay! I love playing with new stuff, don't you?

The card base is a 6x6 black square and I used Wild Wasabi and the new Calypso Coral colour, with coordinating ruffled ribbon....it's so pretty! I also added some rolled roses in black cardstock. Lastly I stamped the matching sentiment that comes with Elaine! What a perfect card to wish someone a nice day and let them know you're thinking of them!

Now hop on over to the KKS Challenge Blog and check out the other sketchy cards that the Krafty Girls and Guests have created for you!!! Then play along with us!!

Happy kraftin'!

A CCT Challenge and a GIVEAWAY!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is happy once again to be sponsoring this month's Cute Card Thursday sketch challenge!!! It's a super fun sketch and works so well with a lot of our images!

I decided to play with the new Punkin Family stamp by the wonderful Emilie Goulet! I hadn't coloured this gourd-geous trio yet....heehee! These Echo Park Halloween papers are my favourite at the moment, so I used them again as the colours are perfect!!

I stamped the punkins on Neenah white cardstock using Memento ink and coloured them up with my Copics. The base is a 5.5 ins square and I used some purple and green cardstock for matting. All the 'stitching' was done by hand using a Copic multiliner (so much quicker than pulling out my sewing machine) and the bats I added are actually cut from a fabric ribbon. Finally I added the simple little sentiment which comes with Happy Vampy!

I hope you can join us for the CCT challenge this week.....you could win two stamps of your choice!!

AND we also have some more exciting news!! Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is excited to have a full-page feature in the fall issue of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and we want to celebrate! TEN lucky stampers will each receive all four of the main images used on the four cards. All you have to do is leave a comment on THIS post telling us which KKStamp is your absolute favorite. You have until September 10th at midnight EST to leave your comment. Winners will be announced on September 11th. You can check out the page, see close-ups of the four cards, find instructions to make each and leave your comment, all on that post.

Good luck and happy kraftin'!

The End of the KREEPY KRAFTY HOP!!!

We hope you've been thoroughly BEWITCHED by today's Kreepy Krafty Hop!!! Aren't the new stamps SPOOKTACULAR!??! Well, I've got one more card to share with you!!!

I decided to play with the lovely Moaning Moira!! Hehe! Isn't she a hoot!? Yes, she's a bit kreepy but doesn't she look happy about it?? I used a mixture of scraps of Halloween papers that I had leftover from last year and mixed them up to make a funky layout. Then I coloured Moira up to match with my Copic markers.

I used my Nesties to cut and emboss Moira using the 'out of the box' technique and then I sponged everything with a nice ghoulish layer of Black Soot distress ink. The stitches were drawn on by hand with my Copic multiliner, I added a big bat punch, some black ric rack and sprinkled a few black rhinestones here and there.

I had to make Moira look a little sparkly, so I added Stardust Sakura gel pen to her little wings. Then I finally finished off the card by adding the sentiment that comes with Moira!!!

Well, that's it for our Kreepy Krafty Hop!! Now hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop where ALL the new stamps are available!! And don't forget the Gimme Kimmies Kits which are only around for a short time!

Happy haunting!!!

Happy Vampy!!!

Today it's time to see what Emilie Goulet has for us!! There are FIVE adorable new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps from her for our Haunting Halloween release!!!

Meet Happy Vampy! I think this little vampire girl and her kitty cat are SO happy that it's Halloween! Are they smiling so big because it's time for candy?? I think so! Don't you just love it when kids smile so big that they close their eyes?? Such pure joy, written all over their faces! And that cat is just cute as a button!!!

I pulled out my favourite Echo Park ghoulish papers and coloured Happy Vampy up in coordinating colours using my Copic markers! I used my wonky (or are they reverse wonky?) rectangle Nesties and cut her out. The I traced the same Nestie onto orange cardstock and cut it out by hand, that way I had a matting layer that was close to the same size. I do this often when the set of Nesties has too much space between each size. Fun little trick to make the most of your Nesties!

I sponged some of the patterned paper with Black Soot distress ink and matted using textured purple cardstock. I added some lovely folded ribbon across the middle, attached two black cat buttons on the right and stamped the sweet little sentiment that comes with Happy Vampy!! Ain't she sweet?!!

Hop on over to the KKS Challenge Blog and see who else has stuffs ta shows ya today!! And be sure to leave comments at each stop for that chance to WIN all FIVE of the images you'll see today! And come on back tomorrow when we'll have SIX Batty and Friends stamps from Annie Rodrigue to share PLUS a brand new KKS Challenge!!!

Happy kraftin'!!

The one I used is called Frightful and Delightful and I combined it with the Sketch For You To Try that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring this month!! It's a great sketch and works with these images perfectly!!

I stamped the image on Neenah with Memento ink and coloured her up with my Copics. The card is a regular A2 sized black base and the patterned papers are from Echo Park. I added some purple twine and then stamped the sentiment that comes with the image and created a little flag and attached it with a glittery purple brad!!

Challenge 90 - Are You Distressed???

This week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge was perfect for me. I'm stressed. Haha! Who isn't, right? Well, I've got a lot on my plate right now, so taking it out on my card for this week was perfect!!!

Our hostess this week is the always enchanting, Melanie!! She has asked us to DISTRESS our creations.....be it inking them up, distressing the edges, makin' it grungy and dirty....just be sure to get rough with your stuff!! haha! We hope you can play along this week and if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, you could be the random winner of the stamp used on Melanie's card.....just WAIT 'til you SEE it!!!

I hadn't had a chance to play with Melanie yet (convenient isn't it, that I used Melanie for Melanie's challenge? Bahahahahaha!), from our newest Travel Girls release! Shame, shame! So I inked her up and started colouring with my Copics! It's a 6x6 card with dark brown for the base and red and green for matting. The papers I used are from the new Oxford collection by Basic Grey. The edges of every piece of patterned paper and the main layer were all inked up with Walnut Stain distress ink and then everything was roughed up with my distressing tool. You can also just open up a pair of sharp scissors and use them....it does the same thing and that's often what I do (when I can find my tool).

I added a little cluster of red flowers with leaves and tied some red twine around the bottom of the main layer. And lastly I stamped the sentiment that comes with Melanie and added it at the top!

You will notice the lovely sketch that I used today....in fact several of the Krafty Girls used it! That's because Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is thrilled and excited to be sponsoring the August Sketch For You To Try challenge!!! Hop on over to their blog today and you'll find your way to some MORE creations featuring our stamps! And you can join in the sketch challenge too!!

Hop on over to our challenge blog and check out all our inspiring cards from the Krafty Girls today....and join us.....and get distressed!!
