Seriously?? It's Saturday already???? Challenge Time!

I can't believe this week went by so quickly!!  Honestly, I think I skipped the middle of the week entirely!!  *sigh*  Oh well, one good thing about the weekend.....it's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge time!!!  yaaay!

This week our hostess is the PRECIOUS PAM!!  *giggle*  She's gonna kill me when she sees that!  She calls me precious all the time and so I call her silly names back!  But really I love the sweet things she calls me!!  Warms my heart!!  Anyway....on to the challenge!!  Pam has designed this gorgeous sketch to inspire us!!  And it really inspired me!!

I absolutely adore sketches because it takes all the guesswork out of the design of the card, which is often the hardest part!  I don't think I've ever had a card whip up so quickly!  To be honest, and don't spread this around because I'm usually SO ultra organized, but I didn't start my card until about 7pm last night!!  Eeek!  Like I said, my week just disappeared somewhere along the line and I ran out of time!  But with this sketch, I had this card done in an HOUR!!  For me, that has got to be some kind of record!!!

The image I used is one of the three stamps that comes in the O Holy Night Nativity Set by Cheryl Alger!  I LOVE IT!!  The papers I used are from the Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket line....love the soft colours!  I coloured up the shepherd and his flock with my Copic markers and drew in some grass.  The card is a 5.25 ins kraft base and I used Wild Wasabi for matting.

To complete this design I stamped one of the phrases from our Nativity Sentiments set and then added a trio of buttons!  These two sets of stamps are put together in a Gimme Kimmies Kit right now and at a discount, but only for a limited time!  All our September Gimme Kimmies Kits are now available, so hop on over to the Shop and pick 'em up!!

I will also be entering this card in the Touch Twin Markers Challenge!!

Now head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and check out what the other Krafty Girls have to share!  Then be sure to join us for this week's challenge and YOU could win some new rubbah!!

Happy kraftin'!

A Cute Card Thursday Sketch!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is excited to once again be sponsoring this week's sketch challenge over at the Cute Card Thursday blog!  They've got another awesome layout to play with and it fits a lot of our images just perfectly!

For my design I used the Potionmaster who had yet to see ink.....*gasp*!  She's such a hoot!  I decided to play around with her skin colour as I wanted her to look a little....creepy, shall we say!  So I used E0000, C00 and C1 to give her that grayish skintone.

The card has a 6x6 black base with green matting and the patterned papers I used are by Echo Park....so fun!  I added some black rick rack, a cobweb punch in the corner and then sponged around the edges of the main layer with black soot distress ink.  Lastly I stamped one of the super sentiments that comes with the Potionmaster!!

So head on over to the CCT blog and check out the other samples that the team has for you and then be sure to lay along because YOU could win some new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps rubbah using this fabulous sketch!!!

I'm also entering this card into the challenge over at the new Touch Twin Markers challenge blog!!

P.S.  Did you know that our new September stamps are now available, along with this month's Gimme Kimmies Kits??  But only for a limited time.....so if you're starting on your Christmas cards, you'll want to scoop these up!!

Happy kraftin'!

The END of our Holiday HOP!!

Well, that's it!!!  You've reached the end of our wonderful Holiday HOP!!  Did you enjoy yourself??  Did you deck those halls and roast those chestnuts along the way??  Go ahead and close your eyes now.....do you hear sleigh bells jingling and smell that holiday baking???  I know I do!!  Does Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps know how to do Christmas or what???

Before I let you go though, I have two creations to share with ya!  The first features JOLLY old St. Nicholas!!!  Haha!  This is one of Emilie's Happy Holidays stamps and is called Santa's Heavy Load and isn't he just so happy in his work??  The patterned papers I used are from the new Blitzen collection from Bo Bunny.  I stamped Santa on Neenah cardstock with memento ink and coloured him up with my Copic markers.  I used my circle and scalloped circle Nesties to cut him out.

I added some brown felt ribbon, a button with twine and some small jingle bells that I got at the dollar store.  I used glue dots to stick them on there and they really do jingle when you move it!  I added a flag for the sentiment which is from our Holiday Sentiments set!

I finished the inside of this card with one of the six fun phrases from our new Christmas Interior Sentiments set!!  We've got everything in this release for you to complete your holiday creations!!

The second card I have to share with you today is the lovely Persephone!  She is one of Annie's Angels and one of the things I love about her (along with some of the other angels) is that you can use her for more than just a holiday card!  The one I've made is a winter card but not necessarily for Christmas.  She can be a thinking of you or thank you card too!

I love the colour combo in these papers which are from the Midnight Frost Bo Bunny collection.  I used navy blue and kraft cardstock and then some maroon sheer ribbon across the middle.  I attached a snowflake charm with silver thread and added sparkle to her wings and stars with my clear Spica pen.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment that comes with her on the bottom!!

Well, that's it folks!!  That's the end of the Holiday Hop.......so you can head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!!!

And if you're looking for a deal, don't forget about our Gimme Kimmies Kits that are available at a discount for a limited time!!

For Unto Us, a Child is Born....

Have you seen them???  All the new Kraftin' Kimmie ANGEL stamps from Annie??  Aren't they GORGEOUS?!!!

For this week's challenge we're doing Christmas in September....obviously!!  If you're like me, you need to get a bit of a head start on your holiday cards because before we know it, it will be December!!  AGH!!!

The stamp I used today is probably my favourite of the new Angels for making elegant Christmas cards!  This is ELYSIA!  I pulled out some Basic Grey Wassail papers and coloured her up with my Copic markers to match.  I like to cut out images when there isn't too much fancy cuttin' to do and Elysia was quite easy to cut around.  I made an oval base for her using some musical paper from another pad of papers and popped her up on it with foam squares.

I added some sparkly poinsettia flowers, lots of pearls and a trio of pearl sprays that I actually picked up in the floral section at the dollar store...aren't they pretty?  For the sentiment on the front I used one of the verses that comes in the new Nativity Sentiments Set.

And on the inside, I used one of the new larger phrases from our Christmas Interior Sentiments set! SEE!  This whole release has everything you need to make ALL your Christmas cards and creative gifts!!

Head on over to the KKStamps Challenge Blog to check out all the Krafty Girls blogs who have Angels to share today and be sure to leave comments so that you can WIN some!  And be sure to come back tomorrow to check out our Krafty Day Release Hop when ALL the new stamps will be available at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!!!

See you then!!

Reindeer Games!!!

Happy Friday, everyone!!  It's Day TWO of our September Previews at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and we've got SO much fun stuff to share!!!
Our featured artist today is the sweet and lovely, Emilie Goulet!!!  Her new Happy Holidays line of stamps literally made me *squeal* when I saw them!!!  And I've had so much fun playing with them, I have TWO projects to share with you!!!

The first one is probably my absolute favourite stamp of the whole release this month!!!  She is called Baking Elf!!  Isn't she gorgeous?  And I simply LOVE her hair....so much fun to colour!!  I decided not to make this one a Christmas card but rather an everyday card that you could give at any time!

I pulled out my new Sweet Tooth 6x6 pad by Bo Bunny as it has my most favourite colour combo.....pinks, teals and browns!!!  Yummmmmy!  Baking Elf was stamped on Neenah cardstock using Memento ink and I coloured her up using my Copic markers of course!  The card base is 6x6 and I used the new Pool Party cardstock by SU for the matting and the matching ruffled ribbon across the middle.  I added some flowers, some buttons and a sentiment that goes with Agnes, another baking stamp!  Isn't she just precious??

My second card features the hilarious Rudy the Reindeer!!  Isn't he a hoot?  I used papers from the Cottage Christmas 6x6 pad from Imaginisce as I thought they were so colourful and fun!  I coloured up Rudy, sponged around the main layer and used kraft cardstock and matted with red.  I added some scalloped polka dot ribbon, a button and some twine!  Rudy also comes with this fun sentiment that I stamped at the bottom!  What a fun Christmas card!!

Head on over to the KKStamps challenge blog where you'll find a list of all the Krafty Girls who have projects to share featuring Emilie's new stamps!  Be sure to leave a comment at each stop because....of course, there are stamps to WIN!!!  There will be three winners.....two will each receive 3 of Emilie's new stamps and one will receive the new Christmas Interior Sentiments set, which you will set in action as you hop around!

All the stamps we are previewing this week will be available on SUNDAY at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!  And be sure to come on back tomorrow when we'll have a new weekly challenge up for you to play along with AND we'll be previewing the gorgeous new stamps by Annie Rodrigue!!!!

Happy kraftin'!

Wise Men Still Seek Him

I've been DYING to share these stamps with you since they arrived on my doorstep over a month ago!!  That's probably the hardest part of this job....having all these awesome images from all of our incredible artists so far in advance....and NOT being able to share them with anyone!!  I just wanna show them to everyone!!!

Today begins the September Previews for the new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps that will ALL be available in the Stamp Shop on Sunday!!  And today's previews feature the art of the sweet Cheryl Alger!

The images Cheryl has created for the holidays have been put together in a fabulous set called the O Holy Night Nativity Set!  There are three beautiful images including Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus, the three Wise Men and a Shepherd guarding his flock!  You can use these images separately or put them all together to recreate the original manger scene!  This set ALSO comes with three coordinating sentiments!!

I chose to use the Three Wise Men for my design!  I pulled out my Wassail Basic Grey 6x6 pad and coloured this trio up in coordinating colours with my Copic markers!  The card base is kraft cardstock and I used a brownish red cardstock for matting.

The image was cut out using a Spellbinder and then embossed and while the image was still in the frame, I sponged the edges with Wheat chalk ink.  I stamped one of the sentiments that comes with the set for the front of the card and added some wrinkled hand dyed ribbon.

And lookie here....I also finished the INSIDE of the card!!  Haha!  I had been getting SO many requests for larger sentiments to include on the INSIDE of your Christmas and holiday cards, I just had to put together a full set of Christmas Interior Sentiments!  There are SIX fun larger sentiments to compliment any of your holiday stamps and help complete your greeting cards!!

As you hop around to the Krafty Girls' blogs today you will see all the O Holy Night images in action on their gorgeous projects!  On some of them you will ALSO see another NEW set of sentiments that completes this set perfectly....it's called the Nativity Sentiments Set, which includes a total of eight phrases and bible verses to compliment our new images and all your other Christmas stamps!  ALL the stamps we're showing you this week will be available at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop on SUNDAY!!

Head on over to the KKStamps Challenge blog to see who has peeks to share today!  And while you're hopping today, be sure to leave comments at each stop because one lucky commenter will WIN the O Holy Night Nativity set AND the Nativity Sentiments set!!  And be sure to come on back tomorrow as we'll have MORE Krafty Peeks featuring the art of Emilie Goulet!!!!

Happy kraftin'!!

Challenge #95 - A Blast from the Past!!

This week's KK Challenge is from Angie and she'd like us to take a trip down memory lane!!  Pull out one of your very first Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get busy creating!!

I decided to use Francesca as she was the VERY first image I ever coloured up....I can remember just how excited I was!  I hadn't made the announcement yet that I was starting my own stamp company and it was top secret....only a few people knew about it and I was over the moon excited!  I was giddy!

This card was created for my niece who turns two years old next week!  I decided to crack open my new Bo Bunny Sweet Tooth 6x6 pad, with those lovely pinks, browns and teal!  I coloured Francesca up and then sponged around the frame with chalk ink.  The base is a 6x6 dark brown card with a deep pink cardstock for matting.  I used a new Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom....such a pretty design!

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from our Everyday Sentiments set and added a trio of pink pearls.  Lastly I dressed it up with some frilly pink ribbon across the middle with a sweet little bow!  A frilly, girly card for a sweet little girl!

There's lots going on at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps right now.....the Gimme Kimmies Kits are up along with the Frugal Friday Specials, but only until Sunday night.  There's also a FREE GIFT with purchase event going on now....you can read about it HERE.  And also you only have a week left to score your spot to our Krafty Day event at the early bird price!  It's gonna be an absolutely amazing day with lots of surprises in store!!!

Now hop on over to the KK Challenge Blog and check out what the other Krafty Girls have in store for you!

Happy kraftin'!!

Show Us Your Office Supplies!!! Challenge 94!

It's finally the weekend! Agh! It's been such a long week here at the Reid house. Our little Emileigh (she's really 19, but I can pretend, right?? Good thing she doesn't read my blog!) came down with strep throat so we spent a few germ filled hours waiting at the emergency room to see a doctor who didn't even need to use the tongue depressor to see Em's swollen throat! So she's been recovering from that all week. At least it happened this week though, so she'll be healthy and able to start her first year of college next week! Did I say college?? Can that be right?? Like seriously, when did that happen?? I'm the mother of a college student. *looooooong silence* No. That's not acceptable. On to another subject before I tear up.....again.

This week's Krafty Challenge is from Kerry!!! She'd like us to use some office supplies on our creations......just in time for back to school! So pull out your staplers, hole punches, paper clips etc. and get krafty! You could win some new rubbah if you join us!!

I'm still in the Halloween mood and haven't yet used all my new stamps from the August release (which by the by, is all back in stock), so I pulled out the lovely Haunting Hilda!! Isn't she a cutie pie with her little batty friend??

I used my favourite papers from Echo Park and coloured her up with matching Copic markers. It's a regular A2 sized black card base with purple and green for matting. The sweet little sentiment comes with Hilda, so I stamped it and punched it out and then clipped it to the main layer with a library clip! I added some black ribbon across the middle and tied a little bow and lastly I made my own border at the bottom using tiny staples!! I FINALLY got to use my little stapler from Tim Holtz! (Bought it months ago and never used it! Ha!)

The Krafty Girls have some awesome cards to share with you for inspiration, so be sure to hop on over to the Krafty Challenge Blog to check them out! And don't forget, the August Gimme Kimmies Kits are only available for a few more days, so scoop them up before they are gone!

Happy kraftin'! And happy long weekend!
