This week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge is brought to you by the loverly Melanie Holtz!!! She'd like us to made our own embellishments!!! Say whaaaat!?! I thought this was going to be difficult....but actually, not so much!!
As usual, if I think too much about things, I make them more difficult for myself!! If I had just moved a bunch of the ......stuff.....on my craft table right off the bat, I would have found the crocheted flowers I had made months ago!!! Would have made things much easier. Oh well!!
I decided to play with one of the adorable Lovely Lulu images.....I call her Tutu Lulu!! heehee! I decided to go very clean and simple with this card, as I thought the image and the embellishment should really take center stage.
I coloured up Lulu on Neenah cardstock with my Copic markers and paper pieced her sweet little dress! I used kraft cardstock for the A2 sized base and just a trio of strips of different MME designer papers. I stamped one of the sentiments that comes with the Lovely Lulu set directly on the card base. And lastly I attached a double set of crocheted flowers to the image panel and pop dotted it!! Voila!!

Well, you've finally reached the end of our Krafty Hop! And I have one last creation to share with you!
I used one of the adorable new images from the Lovely Lulu stamp set....I call her Tubby Lulu!! The designer paper, flowers and ribbon are all from the Art du Scrapbooking store.
Using black cardstock for the card base and for matting is one of my favourite things to do....it really makes the colours pop! I stamped Lulu on Neenah which cardstock and coloured her up with my Copic markers. I used E000, E00, E11 and R20 on her face, then E42 for the bear and E43 and E44 for Lulu's hair. The bows were done with YG91, YG93 and YG96 and I added some BG0000 to the tub!
I added some ribbon and the bow was made with my Bow Easy template......covered the bubbles in crystal lacquer so they shine.....attached some pretty gem centered flowers and lastly added one of the sweet sentiments that comes with Lovely Lulu!!

My card today features a sleepy calico cat from the Kitty Kapers 2! I had so much fun colouring him up with my Copic markers....there's a lot of opportunity for shading on the big areas on him. I used some fun My Mind's Eye papers and my new flower dies. I wanted to make the image the main focus so I didn't go overboard with the embellishments. Lastly, I added this fun sentiment!!!

Today is our first day of Krafty Peeks for the January Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps release!! Woohoo!! And we're so excited to introduce you to....LULU!!
This lovely little lady is Lulu and her set comes complete with three images and five sentiments! I'm using the Birdie Lulu image today in my Smashbook!!
I did up the beginning pages of my book, starting off the year with a few goals. One of them is to spend a little more time outside, instead of indoors, so I thought this sweet image would go well on the page.
I coloured her up with my Copics to match the papers I used, added some tickets, some rick rack and some tags with my thoughts for this year!
