Who would like to win a Magnolia?????

I bet that title got your attention!!! Do you feel like a little contest??? How about a sketch challenge??? And you could win one of the much sought after Magnolia stamps!!!! How about Tilda with her basket......like I used on this card??? Sound good??

Well, Phebe from The Town Scrapper and I are sponsoring this fun little event and if you would like to win my friend, Tilda, here's what you have to do:

Just create a card or scrapbook layout using the above card design as your inspiration. The layout doesn't have to be exactly the same, but use it as a starting point!!! Then link me up in the comments of this post and direct me to your gallery or blog to check it out!! If you don't have either, you can email me a pic of your card, just please make sure that the file isn't very big. If you do upload your card to the SCS gallery, please use KMC1, for Kimmie's Magnolia Challenge 1 in your keywords. I say 1 because, you never know, I might have another one sometime!!

The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 14th at 8pm EST. I will announce the winner of this awesome stamp on Tuesday morning!!

Now on to my card!! I stamped my lovely Tilda girl on SU watercolour paper and coloured her in using my SU markers in Rose Red, Taken with Teal, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel and Blush Blossom and I used my Aquapainter for the ground. The patterned paper is some of my fave SU retired paper, Loves Me. I'm bummed that you can no longer get it, but I can't wait for the new Berry Bliss to show up on my doorstep.....any day now!!! I added a little heart brad on her basket and I knotted a little piece of the matching retired ribbon and attached it with a glue dot to the middle strip. The layout is a Kimmie original and I added the photo corner punches in the top left for visual interest. And finally the sentiment is from How Sweet It Is by My Favorite Things.

Now hurry, go stamp something!!! And you could win a Magnolia stamp!!! Oooooooooo!

Ok Kimmie, I have never done anything like this before (entered a contest where I had to stamp as I am not that great), but I just really like this stamp. So here is my submission. I saw your layout and thought that it would be perfect since I had to make a card for my granddaughters 3rd birthday and already had the princess cut out. And I had the same paper which looked "princessy." So here is my submission.http://cheryl-weightymatters.blogspot.com/ Hope the link works for you. Thank you for doing this and sharing your talent.

It looks like I came back from my blog commenting vacation just in time! (I peeked at all your post from this past week that I missed and BOY...you have been a busy girl! I love the MFT samples.)

I am going to TRY to do this one...as I would so LOVE a Magnolia image...but I am banished from my craft room due to the floors in the house being redone and I don't have access to the upstairs yet...but I might have to get a ladder and climb in a window for this one!!!

The sketch, the coloring of the image, the little heart brad is such a perfect touch. This weekend was already loaded but I'll have to make time to "play" with this!!!!!

She is just too cute! I gotta say that I probably won't be entering the contest just because I have some other things going right now, but they are cute stamps!

Such a sweet little Tilda card. I'm such a fan of Swedish stamps, and I definitely love how you put them to use! You do such a great job with the layout's and coloring. My all time fav. of yours is definitely the windmill one, mind you they are all a treat to the eye. Keep up with the great cards :)

Hi Kim ~ Here is my first ever challenge... of course, I'm agonizing over the photo not being perfect...grrr. I chose this stamp because I hadn't used it yet and was so happy when I found a fun sentiment to go with it!

I hope you like it and that the link works! I did put KMC1 in the title and keywords field.

Thanks for the great challenge ~ it was fun being inspired and then seeing where it would lead.

I intended to lift your card completly, but because I had little time I miscounted me, so the proportions were wrong and I ended up with this one: http://scrapannelies.blogspot.com/2008/01/nog-een-challenge.html
I hope you recognize the corner and the border.

This is my first Magnolia card! I'm grateful to Kimmie for leading me to Phebe at the Town Scrapper where I was able to buy a couple of Tildas. These little girls are completely addictive! Thanks, Kimmie, for letting us all have a chance to own another! And an excuse to force ourselves to make another card...lol.

Here's my creation.

Hi, Kimmie! Whew! Just barely squeaking in during the last hours. This weekend was so... hectic- work, SU Open House for new catty, moving all the furniture out of youngest DD room for new flooring, taking oldest DD to her basketball game to cheer BUT I was bound and determined to participate in your awesome challenge. Here is my entry:
Thanks for the opportunity!
