Twisted Thursday!

It's that time of the week again, when those zany ladies from Shirley's 2 Girls want to challenge stampers everywhere to participate in their fun sketch challenges. And of course it's called "Twisted Thursday" because there is a twist to the sketch.

This week's twist is to ADD HARDWARE. We'd love to have you all play along with us! If you have Shirley's 2 Girls stamps, please use them!! We'd love to see what you do with them. If you don't own any S2G stamps (YET! hehehe), we'd still love for you to play along with us.

Now I was also challenged to use this dp that was sent to me Was I EVER challenged as these are not my usual colours or patterns. But I think I rose to the challenge!!

So create a project using this week's sketch AND add hardware (brads, clips, staples, or any other type of metal hardware that you might have in your stash!). For more crafty info and details about how YOU can win a Shirley's 2 Girls stamp of your chance, hop over here!

Need some inspiration? Some of the other gals at S2Gs have whipped up some fun stuff with that sketch!! Go to my sidebar, where I have all their links and check them out!

Twisted Thursday Challenge!

The gals over at Shirley's 2 Girls are doin' the Twist!!! A Twisted Challenge, that is!! Heh heh! This is our very first challenge and we'd love for you to join us!!

What's your favourite type of challenge?? If you said sketch, you're gonna love this one! It's a fabby sketch but there's a TWIST of course!! This week, it's to use scallops on your design somewhere along with the provided sketch!!

Now I turned the sketch upside down and you can do the same. Turn it or flip it however you like, just make sure that the basic sketch is the same.

I used this sassy stamp (SG 504), because these are my exact thoughts on housework!! (Ask my Mom, she'll tell ya!) I can't believe they made a stamp JUST for ME!! Haha!!

I used my Copics to colour in the image using the colours found in the Crate Paper dp. I used my Colourless Blender pen to make the polka dots on her scarf....cool trick! I added a scalloped edge using Regal Rose cardstock and added the yummalicious crushed velvet ribbon that matches the dp. I popped up the image and the sentiment and finished it off with some Prima hydrangeas!!

Now this challenge is being hosted over at Karolyn's blog, so be sure to link up your designs over there. Don't worry if you don't have any S2Gs stamps yet...just use what you have, but be sure to play along! If you are the random winner, you get to choose a free stamp from the S2Gs line!

Be sure to check out the other wonderful creations by the other Ladies with Attitude....their blogs are linked on my sidebar!

Shirley's 2 Girls....and a Challenge!!!

I have been asked to join yet another amazing stamp company!! This one is BRAND new and you may not have even heard of it yet....it's called Shirley's 2 Girls and we are the Ladies With Attitude!!! Oh yes, you knew I'd fit right in didn't you??? Hehe!

There are some amazing women on the DT and you can find links to their blogs on my sidebar there. Go have a look-see!! Also you can go straight to their website and have a boo at their wonderful, whimsical art stamps that are made of the best quality non-yellowing photopolmer....and I've used them and this stuff is thick and heavy and it's definitely not going to rip either!!

Here are a couple of cards that I have made using these sassy new stamps!! The first one is using Cat in Grass and I think he looks like he's about to get into trouble, don't you?? I used Kraft cardstock for the card base (I'm lovin' using that stuff lately) and a strip of some of my favourite MME patterned paper....love the polka dots.

I stamped the image twice, coloured them and cut just the front part of the cat out of one of the images. I pop dotted it onto the whole image and then matted it on Pretty in Pink cardstock. I added a piece of Soft Sky, pop dotted the main layer and added some yummy pink satin ribbon from American Crafts. The sentiment is stamped directly on the card base.

The second card is made using the Break and Mend stamp which I just love!! I used Kraft base again and used some Crate Paper dp along with some Groovy Guava cardstock and some delicious ribbon that I picked up at Michael's eons ago! I coloured the image with Copics (again), matted it on Groovy Guava, pop dotted it and added a big green button with some hemp twine. I just love that sentiment. I really feel that if we don't start paying attention to our world and what is going on around us, pretty soon we won't be able to fix what has happened to it!!

And on THAT note, Shirley's 2 Girls has an awesome challenge for you this week!!! It's a GREEN challenge and they have a great little template for you to download, so head on over to the blog and get all the details (including what you could WIN)!!!

Well, I hope you like my first S2Gs offerings...I really had fun playing with them!!
