Wonderful Wednesday with Lexi!

Here's a fun card I made using the new READING LEXI!
Who doesn't love books and reading?  hehe

I adore the fall colours in these Doodlebug papers and I felt that Lexi and her furry puppy would look perfect in an autumn scene!

I coloured her up with my Copic markers and then added some cute little leaf and flower dies!  The tag, which is just perfect for the theme of reading, actually is part of the paper pad!!

My creation today features the brand *new* YOU'RE A HOOT stamp set that was just released last week!!!  It's by new artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen and her work is just phenomenal!

I had so much fun designing this card!  First I pulled out my distress inks and created a fun watercolour background for my little love birds!  Then I stamped the branch directly on the background using versafine ink for a crisp and clear impression.

Next I coloured up two of the owl images from the set using my Copic markers!  They were so quick and fun to colour!  The card is an A2 sized background with turquoise matting and a slip of some leftover Doodlebug paper from one of the fall paper pads!

I added a little flag at the top and stamped one of the fabby sentiments that comes with the set.  I also coloured up the large heart stamp that comes with the set and it's covered in glossy accents....sooo pretty!  I then pop dotte
d the heart and both of the owls and voila!!  Such a fun card!

This week I used the brand new SANTA PAWS clear stamp set from our holiday release!  This is one of my fave images from the September release and it's by artist Emilie Goulet!

I pulled out some older holiday patterned papers by My Mind's Eye and I love them because they are non traditional with turquoise and pink which are my faves!  I coloured up the image with coordinating Copic markers, which are my favourite medium to work with.

The card is a 6x6 white square base and I used pink and turquoise cardstocks for matting the patterned layers.  I pop dotted the main focal layer and added some fun flowers.  Lastly I added one of the sentiments that comes with the SANTA PAWS set on a flag!

The card is a white 6x6 square card and I used lots of coordinating patterned papers to layer up the base.  There are several different kinds of flowers in the corners, plus a trio of adhesive dots.  I added some lace trim across the middle, stamped one of the fabulous sentiments at the bottom and pop dotted the main image!!  Ta daa!

Welcome to another fabby Wonderful Wednesday!
As always, it's Anything Goes and I hope you can play along for your chance to WIN a gift voucher to the shop!

For my card I've used my favourite set....at the moment which is OCEANS OF LOVE!  It's a simple card and those cute images are quick to colour up!

I took my inspiration from the Doodlebug papers and coloured up three of the sweet animals from the Ocean of Love set and cut them out leaving a bit of white around the edges.  The card base is a 5x5 inch square in white.  I used a fun fish bowl die to create the focal point of the scene and used solid cardstocks for the background.

I used one of the fun sentiments that comes with the stamp set and inked it up and stamped it a little to the right hand side and arranged the images around it, adding a few sequins for sparkle.  The underwater creatures are popped up on foam dots and I added some orange twine around the top.  Lastly I added some of the matte sprinkles in the top right corner.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my creation!  Be sure to hop over to the KKStamps blog to see what other inspiration is there from the design team and then be sure to join us for the challenge!

We Mermaid to Be Friends!!!

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday!!!  The theme is Anything Goes, as always so we hope everyone can play along!  Break out your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get inky!

My card today features the fun new MERMAID FRIENDS clear stamp set!  These girls and their little ocean friends are so much fun!

The card is a 5.25 inch square white base and the papers I used are from the Mermaids Doodlebug 6x6 paper pad.....I looooove Doodlebug!  I made it a shaker card using some leftover clear packaging from some product or other.  I like to recycle from packaging rather than buy acetate when I can.

I coloured up the image with my copic and make her tail sparkly using my Wink of Stella pen.  I added sequins and beads to the shaker part, attached a selection of coordinating flowers using my hot glue fun and popped up the mermaid on top!  Lastly I stamped one of the fun sentiments that comes with the set!

It's Wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning krafty friends!  It's time for another Wonderful Wednesday challenge!  And as always, it's Anything Goes!  So that means you can join in the fun and enter with any creation you like!

Today I'm sharing a card I made featuring the new
OCEANS OF LOVE clear stamp set, which I love!  And it appears that everyone else loves it too because it sold out after the release last month but is is NOW back IN STOCK!

I think it's all the cute chubby sea creatures and sweet sentiments!  They are great for making fun underwater scenes!

So for my card I used a watercolour background that I made with my Zig markers and a water brush on an acrylic block.  I think the technique is actually called smooshing.  It's very simple and you can make tons of different coloured designs.

Then I coloured up two of the animals with my copic markers, fussy cut them out and pop dotted them on the background.  Then I added a few sequins, stamped one of the sentiments in black and added some pink twine!  Easy peasy!

I hope you can join us for this week's challenge!  We LOVE to see what you create with your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We Mermaid to Be Friends!

Good morning and welcome to another Wonderful Wednesday challenge where Anything Goes!!!

Today I'm sharing a shaker card I made using the brand new MERMAID FRIENDS clear stamp set!!  I'm having SO much fun with all the new underwater stamp sets!

For this one I made the under the sea background paper by watercolouring with my Zig markers in blues and greens for the base of the shaker.  The card base is blue and then the top layer is just plain white with the circle cut out and I added a layer of leftover clear packaging from a Project Life Core Kit that I bought!  I love that I can reuse plastic from other packaging and it doesn't go to waste!

I added a mixture of blue and green sequins to go inside the shaker and popped up the main layer on foam to keep in the sequins.  Then I coloured up the mermaid and friend image using my Copic markers, adding lots of tiny dots on her tail for added texture.  Lastly I stamped one of the sentiments that comes with the stamp set on a flag and added some enamel dots!!!  Now she's all ready to give to one of my mermaid friends!  ;)

You Are Totally Paw-some!

As most of you know, I'm a real dog lover!  We have three of them in our house and they are family!  I know a lot of you all feel the same way about your furry pals too!

That's why I love our new TOTALLY PAW-SOME clear stamp set and I had fun designing this quick and simple card!

I used the little doggie that looks like my long-haired chihuahua puppies, Minnie and Maisie!  I coloured her up using my Copic markers and used lots of little flicks to make her look fluffy!  Then I cut the image out with a thin white border all around.

It's an A2 sized card with a black base and I used red for matting.  I then took a piece of kraft cardstock and designed my own background paper using a tan ink and a bunch of the fabulous little accessory stamps that come with the TOTALLY PAW-SOME set!  It was super fun and easy!

I added a strip of patterned paper along with some black gingham ribbon.  Then I cut out a white circle to create a sort of spotlight for the puppy image and added a trio of coordinating enamel dots!  Lastly I stamped the fun sentiment in Versafine Black Onyx ink!

I hope you can join us for this week's Wonderful Wednesday challenge as it's Anything Goes!  I love to see your krafty kreations so be sure to share them in our Krafty Friends Facebook group and link them up to the blog post for the challenge!

Have a Sunshiney Day!

I'm back with another card for this week's Wonderful Wednesday challenge which is always Anything Goes!

I used one of my fave stamps from the A Sunshiney Day stamp set and the reason I love her is because you can do so many cute things with her dress!  Once I paper pieced it with some sweet patterned paper and this time I choose to add some polka dots with my white poster paint pen!

This is a very clean and simple design for me and I love the way it turned out....plus it took a lot less time!  I used some patterned papers from one of my fave paper companies, Doodlebug, and doodled around the frame of the main layer.  I added a doodle pop and the sentiment and there ya go!  Love it!

Wanna WIN?!?!?!? Check out this week's edition of Krafty Tips and Tuts on the KKS Blog by Lee Ann....there's a chance to
There are also still a few Halloween Kard Kits available!   Remember once these babies are gone, they are GONE!!

Hang in There!

Just popping on real quick to share my card for this week's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge!!

I used the set SPRINGTIME FRIENDS to make this clean and simple design!  I stamped Lulu and her friends on Copic Xpress It paper and coloured her up with Copic markers!

The paper I used is from Doodlebug and I added half a doily, some twine, a flower and some fabulous Doodlebug Sprinkles (some of which happen to be on SALE in the shop right now)!

I love the way this turned out even though it is outside of my comfort zone!  It did take me a lot less time than my normal style, so that's always a good thing!!

Hope you can join us for this week's challenge!

Hope Your Day is MAGICAL!!!

Welcome to another week of Wonderful Wednesday challenges and as always, it's Anything Goes!!  Today I'm sharing a card I made a couple of weeks ago featuring the BELIEVE IN FAIRYTALES stamp set!

This was actually the VERY FIRST time I tried the no lines technique!  I was sooooo super scared of doing it that I put it off and put it off.  And when I finally did it, I was so thrilled with how it turned out!!

I stamped the little princess on Copic Xpress paper using Desert Sand Memento Ink (which can usually be found in the store but I'm sold out but will have more back in soon).  Then I went about colouring the image with my Copic markers exactly as I normally would if I had been using black ink!  I coloured with markers that coordinating with the papers I used from the Sew Lovely paper pad by Echo Park!  I also coloured up the sweet little froggie....isn't he cute? I just love that the images look almost watercoloured with this effect!

Using some distress ink, I gently sponged around the paper layers, added some eyelet trim, ribbon, flower and pearls, then I popped up the two focal layers and stamped one of the sentiments! Oh and I added a bit of sparkle on the crowns and the wand using my Sakura Stardust gel pen!

Lastly I stamped the prince and another sentiment for the inside layer as the finishing touch!

You probably know that the NEW August Release of spooky stamp sets has just been released!  One of the sets has already sold out but I'll have more early next week!  I've also released a limited edition Halloween Kard Kit and it looks like you all are lovin' it!!!  Have of them are already gone!!

I hope you can join us for this fun challenge!!  Happy kraftin'!
