A Challenge and a World Cardmaking Day HOP!!

Well, today is super exciting for me!!!  Not only is it Krafty Challenge day but I'm also part of an amazing blog hop for World Cardmaking Day!!!  A bunch of Canadian crafters have gotten together to share some super creations and some of us even have goodies to give away too!!  *wink*

Top all that fun stuff off with the fact that we are having a HUGE KRAFTY SALE at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop this weekend!!!  Woohoooooo!!  Over 100 of our images are on sale 25-50% off!!!  Not only that, our new September stamps are bundled together in this month's Gimme Kimmie's Kits and all this fun stuff ends Monday night!!!  So scoop up gifts for your krafty friends or your krafty self!!!  hehe!!

This week's Krafty challenge is to PAPER PIECE on your creation!!  I love this technique and I have to admit I rarely think of doing it!!  Shame on me!!  So I had a great time using it on my card today!!

This creation features one of our new stamps called Giftwrap Elf!!  Doesn't she look so joyful in her job???  We should all be like that, shouldn't we?!  I coloured the image up using my Copic markers and then paper pieced the wrapping paper on the gift, the elf's shirt and skirt!!  heeeheee!  I just couldn't stop myself!

The patterned papers I used are from the My Mind's Eye 12 Days of Christmas 6x6 pad.  The patterns are nice and small for this technique!  I added one of the sentiments from our Holiday Sentiments set, tied a pretty wide grosgrain ribbon around the middle and finished it off with some red rhinestones!!

Be sure to check out all the samples for today's challenge by our amazing Krafty Girls and then join in the fun!!  If you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your project, you could be the random winner of this stamp!!!  **Also be sure to leave me a comment here on this post because I will be picking a random comment to WIN a package of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!  Yaaaay!  Who doesn't love free rubbah!?!!  You have until Monday night to participate!

If you want to start at the beginning of the blog hop, go to Tara's blog!  Lastly, make sure to hop on over to Becky's blog, as she's next on the hop and see what fun stuff she has to share!!(**Hint - there may be MORE Kraftin' Kimmie Kandy along the way!!)

Happy World Cardmaking Day......and happy kraftin'!
