IN STITCHES!!!
Okay, so you will rarely see stitching on my creations. I LOVE seeing stitching on cards but I am completely 'sewing challenged'. Well, that and I'm lazy and hate hauling out my sewing machine.....but I digress. I do it so rarely that I forget how to thread the thing....then the tension is always wrong and it inevitably eats the beautiful designer papers I am trying to sew on. I end up having a hissy fit and my husband will say, 'Just walk away for a minute.....or just don't sew on your cards.' and I say, 'But it looks so NICE!' through my gritted teeth!!
SO instead of whining about how I hate to sew, I thought, hey....you own a stamp company, why not MAKE a SEWING STAMP SET!!!! Enter our special new stamp set......called IN STITCHES!!
It includes three different stitches....straight, zig zag and cross stitch....each in two different sizes PLUS four great sewing sentiments!! And the great thing is, they are bare rubber (I always put mine on cling mount) and you can bend them and stamp the stitches around the bends and curves on your creations!!!
For my card I used the sweet Baby Steps 6x6 pad from Simple Stories. I found a beautiful piece of quilted paper in there, along with the coordinating patterns. I stamped the zig zag stitch around the main layer and the straight stitch across the middle layer. I then distressed all the patterned paper layers with distress ink. I added one of the awesome sentiments, some lace, some buttons and linen thread and BAM!!! Easy peasy friendship card!! And I didn't have to haul out my evil sewing machine!! haha!
This new set will be available, along with all the other new stamps and sets that we will be sharing over the next few days, on Sunday in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps shop!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!! Too funny Kimmie, I just said to someone the other day that I wished there was a stitching stamp available so I didn't have to lug my machine out to try my hand at stitching a card. It's almost as if you heard me, lol. I certainly will one of the first to order :)Sandra Dow

Your card is sew cute. I love the sewing look & wanna do it on my cards too. But, I'm with you, don't wanna haul out the (my grandma's)machine, too much work, plus it's in our living room in it's own hidden table.
