Last Stop on our Going Places HOP!
You've reached the end of today's Special Release HOP!!! (If you want to start from the beginning, head over to the Challenge Blog!) And I have one last project to show you!!
For my creation, I decided to play with the girl on the bicycle from this awesome new set!! I pulled out my Kyoshi papers by Basic Grey and coloured her up with coordinating Copic markers. I actually TOTALLY messed up her hair originally, but thankfully I was colouring with my krafty friends at the time and they encouraged me to keep layering and adding more dark to her hair and.....well, I kinda like it now!! So there ya go!! I would have totally given up and started over again!!
I used purple for the card base and all the matting (purple is my fave colour) and added two of the awesome self adhesive flowers made to coordinate with the papers. I also added a strip of sparkly lilac ric rack and finished it off by stamping one of the fun sentiments that comes with the Going Places set!!!

Like the Flower and the Bee.....
Well, it's Saturday and you know what that means! Time for another awesome Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week our hostess is Melanie! She'd like us to Go GREEN, so you need to reuse or repurpose something on your creation!
I haven't had much time at all to kraft and kreate lately (I'll give you more details on why, later) so when I found some time the other day, I just HAD to play with the new PEONY! Not only are peonies my favourite flower.....they smell so good.....but I think this image is my favourite image from the Flower Girls release last week! And she was so much fun to colour!!
I pulled out my new Tea for Two 6x6 pad from Cosmo Cricket and coloured her up to coordinate with those pretty papers! I added a little bit of Buttermilk Spica pen to her hair to make it slightly sparkly! The card base is 5.5 inch square kraft and the scalloped layer around her is also kraft. The layout that I used is actually the sketch from last week's challenge, so technically, I recycled that too!!! (Although Kerry says that's just me being tardy!! Hahaha!)
The lace that I used across the middle is some that I pulled off an old card and I think it goes perfectly with the vintagey feel of this card. I added some flower/button/linen thread combos made from the coordinating patterned papers like my krafty idol, Michele Boyer does. And lastly I added one of the awesome matching sentiments from the Flower Sentiments set!!!
I gotta say, and I don't say this often, but I really love the way this card turned out! End of the March Krafty Hop!
Well, you've reached the end of the March Krafty HOP and wasn't it incredible!!! I have one last thing to show you!!
I whipped up these sweet little gift tags using sentiments from the *new* Flower Girls and also from the *new* Flower Sentiments set!!!
These little friendship phrases are great for your handmade cards, tags, altered items and Smashbook pages!!! I made these to add to some krafty gifts I gave to my friends and they loved them!
I started out with some plain white tags, added patterned paper, a pretty flower, some lace and a sentiment! So easy!

There's GNOMEone Like YOU!
I am just in LOVE with these new sets of GNOMES by Emilie Goulet!! I think they're my favourite images from her so far....and that's sayin' something!!!
Today the Krafty Girls are sharing some peeks featuring the TWO new sets called HANGIN' WITH MY GNOMIES AND WHAT'S UP GNOMIE??!! They are so much fun and we're dying to show you!! So you can head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge blog and see who's got gnome eye candy for ya today!! Then, when we're done sharing peeks this week, ALL the new stamps will be available at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop on Sunday morning!! Eeeeeeeeeeeee! For my card today, I featured this sweet Gnomette, as I call her, who just looks SO joyful with her feathered friends!!! I'm feeling kind of proud of myself because I actually finished THREE cards for the peeks for this release! Usually I'm just so stinkin' busy with running the business side of things, I often miss out on the krafty-ness....but last weekend I had a few of my Krafty Girl friends over to play!!! We spent TWELVE hours together colouring, laughing, singing, eating, krafting...oh and maybe some more eating. And there might have been some movie soundtrack dubbing going on with a couple of movies we also took time out to watch. What? We had to take a break!
Here is a quick photo with the girls hard at work at the kitchen table.....Kerry, Krista, myself and Melanie! (What you can't see is all the awesome food on the counter!) Anyway, thanks to these ladies, I was able to fit some krafty time into my schedule and this is one of the images I coloured up!
