Have a Yappy Day!!

Yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS was to dress up the corners of your card. That was convenient for me, because I got my new Photo Corner punch...yippee!!

The first of my new stamp sets that I wanted to mount, was this one....Yappy Day. I just love the little dogs and this particular dog reminds me of our dog, Daisy. And boy is she YAPPY!! So I decided to play with it first.

I mixed a couple of the different types of designer papers on this card using the new Close to Cocoa designer paper and the Certainly Celery one from the Palette of Prints. I coloured the doggie image using my SU markers and doodled around the edge. Then I used my Giga Scalloped Square punch for the Certainly Celery layer. I stamped the bone along a shimmery white panel and shaded them, then matted them on the Rose Red polka dot paper from the Cutie Pie line. I punched out the sentiment with my Word Window Punch and added the Photo Corners along with some brown rhinestones. Then I pop dotted the doggie!!

So didja watch Big Brother last night???? How funny was Kail running around trying to flip things on Dick??? The look on her face was priceless when he won Head of Household!!! Baahahahaa! Now my first thought was, he is definitely going to put up Kail and Jen this week, BUT sometimes things happen on this show to change things up, so I'm not making any bets yet!! It's gonna be a good week, though, one way or the other!

Okay, so Emileigh and I are SUPER excited today!!! Do you know WHY??? Because the final installment in the Harry Potter series is being released at midnight tonight!!! As a huge lover of these books and books in general, it's a totally historic day! I will be so thrilled to get my hands on the book that will finally answer all the questions and secrets. I'm so excited to find out what is going to happen with all my favourite characters. But I'm going to be so sad to read the final pages of this book because there will be no more story, no more anticipation, no more wondering. I have my suspicions as to who will die in this book and also who may reappear...but I'll share those with you after I've read the book. I'm sure you have your ideas too! So tonight will be a fun night for this mother and daughter!! We've preordered our copy and will be picking it up at the midnight release party at Chapters tonight!! Can't wait!!

Oh, how cute! I love the colors you picked for this one. The stamp set is sooo much cuter on a card like this than in the catty.

Love that card! The colors are so cheerful together! My DD and I are going to a Harry Potter crop and our LSS tonight but we will have to sneak away a bit early to make it to the bookstore to pick up our copy. Aren't mother/daughter fun times great!

You're only getting one copy of the book? For two people? Our copy is coming from amazon on Saturday. Lucky for me, DH will be at work when it comes, and then he's leaving for a bike race right after work :) I have all day Saturday and Sunday before VSBN starts to read it! Once DH get's home and reads it, then we send it off to DSS to read - 3 people for one copy :)
