July MFTeaser #2 and a Kimmie Two-fer!!!

Time is in short supply for all of us, isn't it?? So lately I've really been trying to make up more than one card at a time. I usually stamp up more than one image at a time, so that if I make a goof on one, I can just start again without having to get out the 'stuff' again! I will usually have in mind what I want to do and I'll pull out some coordinating papers and use them on both or all of the cards I'm making at the time. So they go together but are different in layout and embellishments.

Today's pair of cards is made using the new set Call Me by My Favorite Things which will be released on Wednesday night!! It's a super cute set that the minute I saw it, I thought of the days (many moons ago) when I was a teenager, yakkin' on the telephone in my pj's late at night. I don't know if it's just the way the lady is hangin' out on that chair, all comfy and everything, or if it's because I have a 16 year old daughter, but that's directly where my mind went. And the funny thing is that I didn't even realize it until after I'd paper pieced both the cards to look like she has on pj bottoms!!! I looked at them both and said 'Hmmmm....weird.' Guess that's just where my head's at.......because Emileigh and I like to hang out in our pj bottoms. Don't you???

For both cards I used dp from the Nana's Nursery DCWV Baby Girl stack. The polka dotted papers look great for the pants and the other papers just coordinate so well. One card is a 6x6 square while the other is standard A2 size. I coloured with my Copics all the areas that I didn't paper piece and I used some fun new foam flowers from the MFT Store, called Flora Doodles. They are fun to layer and mix up and attach with brads! I used different sentiments on each of the cards and one of the things I love about polymer stamps is that I have the ability to bend them and shape them on the acrylic block and stamp them in a curve, like I did on the square card. I think they turned out really cute and they make me feel like puttin' on my jammies!! Wait a minute......I'm already IN my jammies!!!

Well, it's Canada Day today and I'd just like to wish all my fellow Canucks a happy and safe holiday!!! Happy 141st Birthday Canada!! It's going to be great having a day off in the middle of the week and I have some plans for my day.......can you guess what they are???? *snicker* I'm trying to keep my hands and mind busy right now as Emileigh left to go camping with a friend and her family yesterday and I'm missin' her already! She already called me to tell me that they got there safely (about 4 hours away) but I still worry. They are tent camping and she's never done that before for real!! Out in the backyard ten feet away from the house does not count!! You ladies are going to have to help me get through the week, because she won't be back until the weekend!!!

Have a stampin' good day!!!

Love these! HA! You visit me anytime with out notice... I am in my "lounge" pants. Yep, I am live in my PJ pants at home, call me lazy or comfortable, but that is me! So you know I will be in line to get this set! It is looking like I should plan on the Girl that wants it all!
LOVE YOURS, and especially how you paper pieced them!

Relax about your daughter! Mine went to and then worked at an all girls summer camp for years and who would have thought.... she met her future husband there. He is a totally wonderful guy!

Hi Kimmie: Let you in on a little secret. You never stop being a mom. My 37 year old daughter and her family just motored to Alberta
for their holidays, but they check in through the week to let me know they are okay. I won't feel better until they walk up the steps here at home.
I love your lounger girls cards especially their PJ's.
