Bakin' Up Some Love!!

I'm having SO much fun playing with my new paper dolls.....I mean, my Whiff of Joy stamps!! Hahaha!! It's like playing with paper dolls though, isn't it???

Today's card features Willow Baking Cookies!! I love her in her special little apron....I had one when I was a kid and it was yellow with white ric rack and poodles all over it and I wore it when I helped Mom in the kitchen (which probably wasn't too often)! Right, Mom???

I stamped Willow on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in using my Copic markers. The dp I used is by Stampin' Up and the accent cardstock I used is Riding Hood Red and River Rock. You may have noticed on the last couple of cards, that I have used a light vanilla colour to shade around my images. I had been using C-1 which is a cool grey and also W-1 which is a warm grey and lately I've decided to use a lighter vanilla colour (usually E50 or E51) and I think it looks really cool.

I added some stitched grosgrain ribbon, pop dotted Willow and added some coordinating Prima hydrangeas with antique copper brads. The sentiment is from CCDesigns and I finished her off by adding some highlights with white acrylic paint.

Well, I have to work the late shift at the library this afternoon and evening but then I have the weekend off...woohoooo! On Saturday I am taking a trip to Sarnia to a Scrapbook Show and if any of you are heading that way too, let me know and maybe we can meet up! I'd love to meet ya!!

Beautiful card as always. So nice to see how we all colour these lovely stamps differently. Love the papers - especially since I am waiting for mine to arrive from SU (have to order from US, since they do not exist in Scandinavia yet).
Warm regards from Sweden - Anki

This card is absolutely gorgeous, Kimmie! I am always in awe of your colouring...it's simply fabulous!!!
You know, I ordered several WOJ (Charlotte & Charlie) stamps becasue of some fine enabling by you, lol, for my Christmas cards this year. Then when I saw your precious card with Melinda reading, I went back to the WOJ site to order some of the Melinda and Willow stamps. Unfortunately, a few of the ones that I want are already out of stock. I am soooo happy for Katharina that the stamps are just flying of the virtual shelves. I will just have to patiently wait to get my hands on them, smile!

To answer your question....Bela, told me about the expo in London and I thought that I could go before I knew the exact date. Unfortunately, I had already signed up for a workshop on the 27th. This workshop is work-related and I can't get out of it, my employer has already paid for it etc. I was sooooo disappointed when I figured out that I wouldn't be able to make it. It would have been soooooo awesome to finally meet you in person...Maybe another time!!! Tara

mine won't be as beautiful as yours, but hey I'll try my darnest!
You should get a commission from every stamp sold from us seeing them on your blog, don't you agree!
