High Hopes Project of the Month!!

Here is a card that I made several weeks ago for High Hopes to post on their website for this month's Project of the Month. It doesn't appear to be up on the site yet, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway, since the special started on September 1st.

The card base is a 6x6 square of Red Riding Hood paper by Stampin' Up and the designer paper is by My Mind's Eye. It is very colourful and has stars in it, which always make me think of the circus!

I stamped Max the Magnificent on Wausau bright white cardstock and then stamped Sammy the Seal on a separate piece. I coloured them both in using my Copic markers and cut Sammy out, then pop dotted him on top of the main image, matting it with Night of Navy. I cut the popcorn image out using my Nestabilities and matted it with Marigold Morning.

I stamped the sentiment on Soft Sky and used one of my ribbon slider dies by Spellbinders to cut it out and emboss it, then I attached it to the card with grosgrain ribbon and pop dots. To finish it off I punched some large stars out of glitter paper by DCWV, pop dotted them and then added some highlights using white acrylic paint and a paintbrush. Ta daaaaaa!!! (Isn't that what they say at the circus??)

For the month of September, when you purchase this set of stamps together, you will receive a 25% discount!! They make fabulous birthday cards or invitations!!

Well, I have a day off from work today, so I'm going to do a little stampin'....what a shocker, huh? And then I'm picking Emileigh and her girlfriend up from school and taking them shopping. Have a wonderful day!!
