I'm Maid for You.....and an Accident Report...
First of all, I'm okay, not hurt in any way...just a little stiff this morning. But I got in a car accident on the way to work last night. Long story short, I'm driving down the road, she pulls out of a parking lot and runs right into me....messes up my car....she almost took off....yelled at me and didn't want to call the police. Luckily a gentleman who has an office on the street saw it, came and helped me and stayed with me until the police arrived. He took charge of the situation, advised me on what to do and spoke to the police officer. Get this...he's a lawyer! Not only that, he knew the police officer and gave him the rundown and I think that really helped in solidifying my account of the accident. Needless to say, I'm making him a REALLY nice card and including a Tim Hortons gift card, as a small token of my gratitude?? I don't think he needs flowers or a plant but I'm sure he'll use a gift card for coffee!! Is that cheesy???
I'm feeling okay, like I said, just a bit stiff, probably from the stress and stuff last night. I was not at fault so my insurance isn't going to go up and all the repairs will be covered. My husband has just taken my car to the repair place and they are giving me a loaner car, so that's good. Everything's okay. The car can be fixed and I'm not hurt...that's what is important!
Okay, onto the card!! I love this new set, Maid for You by My Favorite Things! It's such a hoot! And I used it in this week's MFT sketch challenge over in the new MFT sketch forum.....all the sketches in one place...how great is that??
I used Basic Black for the card base, Regal Rose for matting the SEI dp and Pretty in Pink to put the sentiment on. I coloured it with my Copic markers, pop dotted it and added some ribbon, Prima flowers and brads! Saucy, yes???
Okay, I've got the day off today, so that's good. I can relax...and of course, do a little stampin'!! Hope you all have a wonderful ..... and SAFE day!!!

This is a great card, like all of your cards ;)
So sorry to hear of your car accident Kimmie - but very glad to hear you're ok! Love the card! There is an award waiting for you on my blog - be sure to pop over and get it!
Take care and stay safe too!
Danielle
Kimmie - I'm so glad you're okay and the gentleman was there to help. I don't understand some people (the lady!)
Your card is adorable - I love that set!!
Kimmie,
Can I give advice..after a car accident, even if it seems "minor" I would suggest going to the chiropractor to make sure you didn't get knocked out of alignment. Ice those sore spots and get some rest. It is actually quite a jar on the body so take care of you so the pain don't linger.
Thinking of you!!
TammyM
Glad to hear that you are okay and that your car can be fixed. Just rest today because tomorrow and the next day you will be more sore than you are now. Your card is just beautiful as always. I visit your blog everyday to see what new creations you have. Thanks for all the inspiration you give.
Glad you are OK but that stinks!! Hope you get feeling better soon, and I think it is great that you are making him a card. Your card for today's sketch is great, I just love that set.
Hello Kimmie, hope you are not feeling so stiff now. I am sorry to hear about your accident. I had two back in October, the first involving a lorry who reversed into me. He was the same as your lady, aggressive, unfortunately for me other than the children i had no witnesses. Lucky for you that the gentlemen stepped in and took control, otherwise it sounds the lady could have been nasty. I think its a lovely thought to send a card and gift card, im sure he will appreciate the thought. Hope you get your car sorted and that you soon feel completely better! big hugs Linda x
Oh Kimmie, i forget to say, i love the card, that Maid looks fantastic, what a lovely stamp set! Linda x
Love your card Kim and so sorry to hear about the accident! Glad you are okay........now.......tell me this isn't the card you are sending to the lawyer, right???!! teehee!
Oh, Kim, I'm so sorry!! I'm glad you're ok!! I got in an accident the day after Thanksgiving, 2007, & I had my kids in the car. A young girl wasn't looking & smashed into my rear (she admitted she was changing her radio station!). Nothing scarier than having your kids with you when that happens! My minivan was totaled by her little sedan, but I was grateful we were all ok. Such a bummer, but I'm glad you had an angel looking out for you!
I'm glad that you're ok! There were so many accidents because of the snow here as well ...
That the car can be repaired is probably a huge relieve right now and the fact that you get a little time for yourself for stamping is nice, right?
Stunning card! Stunning image i just love it! Hope your ok and not to upset about the car. Luv Caroline x
Hi Kimmie -- glad the accident wasn't worse; however, I work for a personal injury litigation attorney, and you really need to be checked out by a doctor just in case and let your insurance company know if you have any medical bills.
I am glad you are ok! Great card! Hugs, Moni
Kimmie, I am so glad you are okay!! Thank goodness that gentleman was there to help. I think a card & Timmies gc sounds like a great thank you token!! Take care of yourself and rest up today!
Your MFT card is gorgeous. I love that stamp set!
i am so sorry to hear that girl!!! please make sure you get yourself checked out. i was in denial that my stiffness was a big deal and turns out i have terrible whiplash.

Gosh woman...you were hit by a card and still ...you're able to knock out a card and a adorable one at that!
I'm happy to hear though that you were not injored and that you had a very reliable witness.
Thanks for always providing such amazing inspiration!

OMG Kimmie thank goodness you are OK, sweetie i bet that shook you up... i'm surprised you are even blogging today... you'll be still stiff for a few days yet, my son Ash had quite a bad one 18 months ago and lord only knows how but he walked away the car was on it's roof written off,and like you was hit by an idiot ( who was drunk..) but he was just stiff for a few days... Sweetie take care, hot baths help with those aches, lots of hot sweet chocolate and stamping will definitely take your mind off things.... that silly woman needs a good talking to... Your card is so good i love the comical twist of this stamp set.. Take it easy and don't over do things... take care Big Hugs Tina xx
