Thanks a Latte!!!

Firstly, let me just say a HUGE thank you for all your thoughts and well wishes about my car accident! I'm so touched that you all were worried about me and sent me hugs! Every comment really helped pick me up and I'd like to HUG ya right back!!! So, Thanks a Latte!!!

Okay, so last weekend my new stampin' soul sistah, Andrea and I spent all day Saturday together!! What a hoot!!! Firstly we met up at Michael's, used our coupons, spent a tiny bit of $$...not much. Honest. Then we drove out to Scrappin' Great Deals in Kilworth....I was totally in HEAVEN!! I'm gonna do a whole post on them in the very near future! Spent a little MORE $$$ there. Then we headed out to Petrolia to see my pal Phebe at The Town Scrapper!!! Spent some MORE $$$ there!! What fun!!!

Now the weather was with us until that point. No snow, fairly clear skies....then on the drive home on the big highway, it started to snow....pretty good too! Anyhoo, we braved the snowy conditions and drove back to my house and spent the next 5 or so hours.....stampin'....yakkin'....and laughin'!!! We had a super fun time!! Hi Andrea!!! *wave*

All this to tell you that this card was made using one of her Bella images! I have a few of these babies, but not this particular one, which I have now fallen in love with! Ain't she cute?? I'd say that she looks EXACTLY like me, but really that would only be partly true. Okay, it would be a big fat LIE!! We ARE exactly alike.... from the wrist down, holding the cup o' coffee! Baaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Everything else is just way too skinny and perky! Plus her clothes are just not my style....I prefer the sweatshirt, fuzzy socks and pj pants look these days! It's bitterly cold here, don'tcha know!

Anyhooooo, I used the sketch from the CPS Blog from last week for this cutie and my new Bittersweet dp by Basic Grey. Yum! I used a Fiskars heart border punch on the brown, my Nesties on the main layer, along with my Copic markers (but of course!) and added new pink Hydrangeas (from SGDeals) and pink brads. I used my handy dandy sewing machine around the frame and pop dotted the MFT sentiment.

Well, being the smartie-pants that I am, I sewed the dp to the base layer of the card and didn't realize until afterward that the sewing would be seen on the inside of the card. So I got the brilliant idea to finish the inside too to cover it up! I added a little dp and a coffee cup to the left and the sentiment and coffee beans on the right. Only THEN I punched the holes on the front for the flowers/brads to go through and the holes of course, pierced my lovely new finished inside!! (I was on a roll that day, I tell ya!) SO I ripped the inside off and finished it ... again.

Even though this card took me MUCH longer than it should have, I really like the way it turned out! I think I'm going to pull out some of my other Bellas (that haven't even seen ink yet) and play with them soon.

Well, I'm off to work this afternoon and evening. I'm a little nervous driving now but I'm just going to take deep breaths and do it! Hope you all have a wonderful, coffee-filled day!!

Your card is beautiful Kimmie! I am so sorry to hear about your accident. I think if we were the only ones on the road it would be best! Haa haa People can be such idiots! I am so glad you are ok. That is the most important thing. I once had an old lady back into me in a parking lot. She blamed me and said I parked behind her! Haa haa She was looking in her rear view mirror and I was honking cause I knew I couldn't get out of the way fast enough. I hope you aren't sore all over. (((((((((hugs))))))))))
