Monochromatic Seraphina!

Today's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is to make a Monochromatic creation!!  I have been dying to colour up the lovely Seraphina for some time now!!  I think she is my favourite of the new Angels by Annie Rodrigue!!

I decided that I would use neutral colours for everything except those cute, pudgy birdies!!  The card base is a 5.5 inch square of kraft cardstock and the patterned paper is a single sheet from My Mind's Eye.

I coloured up Seraphina with my Copic markers and cut her out using a circle Nestabilies set and then cut out the scalloped circle to go around her in Pool Party by SU, which is such a nice soft colour.  I pulled out the matching ribbon that goes with it and layered it over some fancy lace trim.  Using a large brad, I made the bow to go on top.  I also used my new fancy flourish die but found it difficult to not only get out of the die itself but to find some adhesive to hold it down properly.  I used my quickie glue pen but it didn't seem to hold it too well.  I'll have to do some research on that to find something better because I love the die itself!

Lastly, I sparkled up the little birdies a bit by dotting some glitter with my Stardust gel pen and smudging it around with my finger.  Also I added it to her wings!  So soft and pretty...I love the way it turned out!

Hope on over to the KKS challenge blog and check out the Monochromatic marvels that the other Krafty Girls have to share!  Then grab your stamps and join us for this fun challenge!!!

Happy kraftin'!
