I have to be honest....when I started to work on this week's challenge from Michele....I was a little worried. She wants us to use a pin on our cards. I mean a pin? I've never used one on any of my designs before, although I've loved seeing them on other creations! I always wonder, how am I supposed to send this to someone?? It might hurt somebody. Do I only send it to someone I don't like???? *evil laugh* So I asked the girls what they do. I was told that you can put an earring back on the sharp end, or hot glue a bead on the end.....OR just take the pin out when you want to send it! haha! All great ideas!!
So with these tips in mind, I decided to start my card using the SASSY new Sophia stamp from our October release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Isn't she just so sexy?! She comes with two sentiments and I think her dress would be just perfect to paper piece.....which I thought about AFTER I'd already coloured her. I'll try that next time!
The papers I used are from the Basic Grey Indie Bloom 6x6 pad and I just love the pinks and turquoise and I decided to go with black as the base and for matting to really make them pop! I added some pink satin ribbon across the middle with a pretty bow! The pin was found in my stash of goodies that people have given me, so I couldn't even tell you where it came from....but I do remember now that I have a Pretties Kit from SU hidden somewhere in my craft room that has a lot of cool pins in it, so I will definitely use this idea again! The pin I just slid through the middle of the bow.
Lastly I stamped one of the sentiments on the turquoise layer and then added some sparkle to Sophia's martini and of course, her eyeshadow!!
Now head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog and check out how the other Krafty Girls used their pins!!
Happy kraftin'!

So glad to see you survived the challenge, Kimmie! :) And since there's no bead of glue on the end, I'm assuming you're mailing this to someone you don't like? lol. It's SUPER cute! :)
