Kraftin' Kimmie Kopic Klass!!!

Hahaha! I just had to do that....all K's!!

This Sunday morning, November 8th, we're teaching a Copic marker card class at Scrappin' Great Deals featuring.....drum roll please..........Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! How fun is that??

My first card features the lovely Antoinette!! I've paired her up with the bright and whimsical My Mind's Eye Colourful Christmas papers and brads! Looking at this design just brightens my spirits! The marker colours I used are: E000, E00, E11, R20, BG0000, BG000, BG01, E42, E43, R83, R85, YG23 and YR12!

My second card features the new cutie-patootie, Oliver....or should I say OLIVIA!! Haha! I used the lovely new Cosmo Cricket papers, some frilly ribbon and some shiny snowflake brads! I also used some white flocking on her hat rim and pom pom! The markers I used are: C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y32, R11, R12, R43.

These are just two of the fun designs we'll be creating....we'll also be using Ozzie and Harriet and Piper!! So if you'd like to join us, you'll need to call Sheila right away as the class is filling up!! See you then!!

Copics Colour Challenge....and a PEEK!!!

I TOLD you if you kept your eyes peeled you might see a sneaky peek a little early!!! Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring the Copics Colour Challenge this week! And not only are we the sponsors, we even joined in with the challenge!!!

This week's Copic combination is E33, YG06 and R20, or whatever colours you have that are close! Now you may recognize this little cutie pie!! It's Maxwell and this month, he's snowboarding!! haha! I paired him up with my new Eskimo Kisses paper by Basic Grey.

The card base is a 6x6 square of Kraft cardstock with different Bazzill colours for matting. I stamped the new image on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in using my Copic markers. In case you are interested, all the marker colours I used were: E33, YG06, R20, R11, V09, YG93, YG96 and R39.

I cut out the image and embossed it using my Nesties and then coloured around the edge to make it pop! I added a strip of contrasting dp, a strip of light pink and a piece of light blue that I decorated with my scalloped border punch! I added some stitched grosgrain ribbon and did a flouncy, pretty bow and then added a button with some linen thread. Then I added the 'Snow Much Fun' sentiment which comes with the Maxwell Snowboarding rubber stamp!! Perfect, right?!

So several of the Krafty Girls have played along with the challenge....and they've ALL used images from the November release....which is only a few days away!!! So be sure to hop around to their blogs to check out some of the new images you've been waiting to see!

High Hopes Challenge #24!!

Good Sunday morning, stampers!!! It's a rainy and dreary one here in Ontario but a perfect day for stampin'!!

This week's High Hopes Challenge is all about Creative Borders! You can simply use a border punch, like I did, or you can be more creative with your borders. Some ideas might be tearing your edge, distressing it, doodling on it, make a fancy border using lace, ribbon, eyelets, brads, rhinestones, pearls....the possibilities are endless!!

The card that I made is actually a card that I will be teaching at a Copics 101 class at Scrappin' Great Deals on Saturday April 4th and also on Monday April 20th, for those that can't make it on the weekend. We will be making a total of four cards featuring High Hopes stamps.....I'll show you another design later this week! There are a couple of spots left for Saturday if you'd like to come and the weeknight class has lots of spots! Just call Sheila to sign up....OH and here's some great news....we know how tight things are for everyone these days, so we've lowered the prices of our classes!! How cool is that??? We just wanted you all to come out and have a fun night of stampin' and colouring, learn some new stuff an save some $$!!

Soooooo, I inked up Brayden's Backside.....oh, that doesn't sound too good! heehee! I stamped him on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in using my Copic markers. Then I used a really cool technique that we learned at the certification class and you will get to play with it too at the class! I took an old piece of towel and put some colorless blending fluid on it and carefully dabbed it onto Brayden. The fluid on the towel pushes away the brown ink, leaving lighter spots on his fur, giving it that cool texture. You can use all sorts of different items to give your designs different textures! Now it looks like Brayden is a furry donkey!! Feel free to click on the photos to get a closer look!

The card base and matting cardstock are Bazzill Bling (love the way it sparkles) and the dp is by Sassafras Lass. I sponged around the dp and the main layer using a sponge and Walnut Stain distress ink and stamped the sentiment on the focal image layer. I used my Threading Water border punch and also a couple of little flower punches and attached them with a brad. Then I pop dotted the main layer! A very simple card, but the fur technique just makes it a 'wow' in my opinion. I can't wait to make all my animals furry!! heehee!

Now, hop on over to the High Hopes blog and check out the amazing border creations that the other Divas have designed for you!! Be prepared with your ohhhhhhs and ahhhhhhhs!!

Have a super stampy day!!
