Friday Sketchers #6!!

This week's challenge over on the Friday Sketchers Blog is designed by Jacqueline from the Netherlands. It's so much fun playing with a different sketch from another country each week! I just wish I could go visit them and play with their sketch in person!!! Wouldn't that be cool?? A stamping exchange program or something! Haha!

Anyway, I had a great time using Sketch #6 and I got to use some new stamps that just arrived from Scotland!!! You see the Sugar Nellie line of stamps is only sold through an online store called Funkykits in Scotland and I receive their newsletter by email. So when a new line of stamps is available, I get notified right away.....and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!!! *snort* But a few weeks ago I got the email that the new Elisabeth Bell stamps called 'Sweet Ebony' were available and I ordered some of them right away!! And this is the first one I've had a chance to play with!

The card base is a 6x6 Chocolate Chip square card and the patterned papers are from the White Out collection by We R Memorykeepers and I LOVE the colour combo! I stamped this sweet image on Wausau bright white cardstock using Archival Brilliance Graphite Black ink and coloured her in using coordinating Copic markers. I tied some narrow satin chocolate ribbon that I picked up at Target across the middle. The circles I made using my Creative Memories cutting system and the chocolate one is attached behind the ribbon, while the Certainly Celery circle and the main image are pop dotted over the ribbon. I attached some matching Prima flowers using some off white Basic Grey brads and also a trio of cream heart shaped brads on the curve. Doesn't she look adorable sitting there with her teddy???

Well, I had a great day off yesterday and got a lot of crafting done, even though I feel like a taxi service sometimes. Come on, you mothers of teenagers know what I mean! I took Emileigh to school in the morning, then she called at lunch because she forgot some homework at home, so I drove it right over there...then I picked her up from school and after supper dropped her over at her girlfriend's house so they could go swimming and then I picked her up again later in the evening. Oh well, I don't mind. I'm trying to enjoy every moment of her while she's still here. Before we know it, she'll be off to school, living on her own...then off and married....yikes!!! I'll keep her 16 forever...how about that??

Have a wonderful weekend!!!
