Hey Chica! Gift Set

Well, it's back to school day here in Ontario today!! I know Emileigh is excited to go back and see all her friends, because she actually got up on time today!! That tradition will end by Friday!!! hahaha!!

Today I will show you the first things I made with the Hey Chica! stamp set being released by My Favorite Things tomorrow night! I actually altered the journal first, then made the backpack/luggage tag to go with it and then rounded out the set with an altered mini notebook!!

I pulled out a bunch of pink and black designer papers from the Pirate Princess line by Rusty Pickle! I bought them sometime last year and knew they would come in handy!! I thought they would be perfect for a teenage girl!

I used Basic Black and Pixie Pink cardstock along with my Nestabilities, lots of Prima flowers and many different ribbons. I paper pieced all her 'outfits' and even added a heart tattoo on one of her arms!! I've had that antique key charm for a long time now and never knew what I would do with it but I thought it worked great on a teenaged girl's private notebook!! *wink*

I decided to make this Chica's hair dark (like mine) and in order to make it black but have a little shading, I used a combination of medium and dark grey Copic markers. I also added some sparkle (which you probably can't see in the photos) on her eyeshadow and lipstick using a clear Spica gel pen.

I used a different sentiment on each item because I just love them! They are so SASSY!! Now doesn't this make a nice gift set for a sassy teen??!!

This set, along with a BUNCH of others will be available tomorrow night from MFT! We'll be having a release party over in the SCS forum from 9-11pm EST, so be sure to stop by!

Have a wonderful day.....I'm off to work, so I'm sure yours will be better than mine!!
