Ladybug Friends!

Today begins the sneaky peeks for the April Releases over at All That Scraps! I got to play with Diane Zechman's new set, Ladybug Friends.

Now, I'm not a big bug person myself....that's actually the one thing I hate about summer, but how can you not like these adorable ladybugs....and there's a sweet snail too!

For the first card, I stamped the snail and ladybug and coloured them in with my Copics. Then I decided to pull out my Copic airbrush system. I've only used it twice before, so I don't have a lot of practice. I made a mask for the snail and left the circle spellbinder die on the whole image after I cut it out with my Cuttlebug. I sprayed the grass first and then sky, which actually turned out a little too light. Then I went back in with several shades of green markers and added some blades of grass all over, which I think turned out pretty cool.

The card base is Basic Black and I used Real Red for matting and Certainly Celery for the sentiment. The patterned papers are from the Twitterpated line by Imaginisce and I used my Threading Water punch by Fiskars. I finished it off by pop dotting everything and adding a poka dotted bow in the corner.

The second card uses another dp from the same line of paper, Real Red for the base and some Bazzill yellow, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink for matting. I love this image of the two ladybugs (I'm thinkin' one is a manly-bug too) and their antennae meeting to make a little heart! SO cute! I coloured again with my Copics, used the same border punch and added some black gingham ribbon. I'm also in love with the font on this set!

Head on over to the ATS Blog to see some more designs made with this set and get in on a chance to win your own set!!!

Have a super inky day!!!

SUPAH CAAAA-UUUUUTE! The papers are perfect with these buggies. I agree: the only kind of bugs that I can tolerate are stamped ones. :)
