Good Thursday morning stampers! Firstly, I just want to tell you that I took the girls to see the new Harry Potter movie yesterday! We got there early (already ordered our tickets online) and stood in line so we could get good seats. When they opened the doors, Emileigh went right into the theatre and got seats in the very back row in the middle....it was fabulous....and Kelsey and I made a bee-line for the concession stand and got our pop and popcorn. When the show finally started, we were so excited! Kelsey has never read the books (*gasp*...I know), but Emileigh and I know them back to front and it's so amazing to see your favourite characters and stories come to life on the big screen. Well....we all agreed that this was EASILY the best movie yet. It was simply fantastic and we can't wait until it comes out on DVD! Have you seen it....what did you think??
Anyhoo, on to today's card. This one features stamps from the newly released
Bumble B. Bear set from Cookie Crumbs Designs at All That Scraps.
Diane Zechman designed these adorable bears and bees and some wonderfuls sentiments to go with them. I used the beehive and the bee to create the focal layer. The card base is A2 sized in Basic Black with some yellow Bazzill cardstock for layering. I stamped the images on Neenah Solar Crest smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them in with my Copics. I used: C3, C5, YR20, YR21, YR23 and R85. I used my Nesties to cut it out and added a scalloped layer of Regal Rose. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with my Word Window punch and pop dotted everything. I added some buttons with hemp twine, some velvet ric rack and finished it off by outlining parts of the image with my Stardust Sakura gel pen.

Alrighty, is that enough excitement for one day?? I've got a class to teach tonight, so I'll be spending my day packing my stuff up and preparing to teach my cards. Maybe I'll also get a little bit of stamping done in between several loads of laundry! Heehee! Have a super stampy Thursday!!!
