It's Your Day....Have a Ball!!

Here is yet another fabulous new image from the July release of High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This handsome devil is named after my dad, Retired Raymond!! Heehee! And I used it to make a Father's Day card for the real Raymond!!

I used some striped Bo Bunny patterned paper for my inspiration and all the cardstock is textured Bazzill Bling....mmmmmm. I stamped Raymond on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in with my Copic markers. I cut out a big circle of white cardstock, then ran it through my Cuttlebug with a dotted embossing folder and turned it over to make it look like the divets in a golf ball (my Dad is an avid golfer, in case you hadn't guessed). I attached some Basic Grey brads and pop dotted everything, including the sentiment, which is also a new stamp!!

In case you are interested, here are the Copic markers that I used: E21, W1, BG000, Y32, E44, G14 and B02!

So I gave Dad his card on Father's Day and I told him that this stamp was not even released yet and that when it was released, it would be named after him. He got quite a chuckle out of that.

Well, tomorrow is the big day......overnight tonight, the new images will be added to the High Hopes online catalogue so you can check them out!!! You can get up tomorrow morning, sit down with your cup of coffee and check out aaaaaallllll the new stamps!! Just plug in HOTP for Hot Off the Press and they'll all come up! Be sure to hop around to some of the Divas' blogs (there is a list on my left hand side bar) and you'll get some sneak peeks of more cute designs!!

Have a stampin' good weekend!!

Emileigh's Cool Ride!!

Today I have a sneaky peeky for ya'll!!! This Saturday morning, High Hopes is releasing a ton of brand new images....and I've been lucky enough to play with them over the past week or so! And this release is pretty special to me, as some of the images are being named after some family and friends.

Some of you may know that my daughter, Emileigh, is learning to drive and thoroughly enjoying it. Well Crissy drew this image in honour of my little Emmy-poo! So of course I had to show it first and of course I had to feature it in an upcoming class at Scrappin' Great Deals!! We are doing 4 cards and we're only doing one class this month. It's on Thursday, July 16th, so be sure to call the store to register.

The card is quite simple as the idea for the class is to focus on practicing with the Copic markers and High Hopes stamps are perfect for that! Crissy's images are so sweet and adorable and 'cutesie'...which, as you know, is my middle name!! Haha!!

I chose to use some new Doodlebug papers with the loveliest purples and greens and used that as my colour inspiration. I stamped Emileigh (hee, hee... I love saying that) on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. For those that are interested, the colours I used are: E00, E42, W1, W3, W5, W7, G20, BV01 and BV02.

The card base is a chocolate coloured Bazzill cardstock in a 5 1/4 inch square with a lovely coordinating purple Bazzill for matting. I attached a big green flower with a Basic Grey brad and then finished it off by adding some sparkle with my Spica gel pen to the tires, fenders, windsheild, exhaust etc. Of course the sentiment is part of the new release as well and I pop dotted everything! Isn't she adorable??? That's my Emileigh!!

And I happen to have an extra one to give away!! Not an extra daughter...silly...an extra stamp!! With the matching sentiment!!! If you would like to have a chance to win this rubber goodness, just leave me a comment in this post, by Sunday, July 12th at midnight EST and I will post the random winner on Monday!! Easy peasy! And when you are done doing that, hop on over to Crissy's blog and check out the amazing blog candy surprises that she is giving away!!

Come on back tomorrow and I'll have another HH design for ya!!

Happy Monday.....Here's the Dirt!!!

Well, it's been an extremely long week for me, so I'm looking forward to the start of a new one. Last weekend my husband had an episode and we made several trips to the hospital over the whole week. It was very stressful and tiring, both physically and mentally. Thankfully he is feeling much better now, but it took it's toll on us. Add to that the fact that I worked six days and taught two evening classes and I was exhausted!!! So I took yesterday off and didn't post or really do much of anything else! (except stamp a little...hehe).

This card is one I designed for one of our upcoming Copics classes at Scrappin' Great Deals. This one features Gordon Groundhog...isn't he the cutest??? I think he's my fave from this new release.....next to Sweet Dreams. Anyway, all the cardstock used in this card is Bazzill Bling. The white I used is Wausau bright white cardstock and of course I used my Copics to colour him in. Don't you love his jeans??

The patterned paper is by Bo Bunny and I thought it would be perfect for this hard workin' fella. I stamped the sentiment directly on the dp, added brads to the corners and pop dotted the main image. You like??

Anyway, this is just one of four designs the ladies will be making at this class. We are actually running it twice....once on Saturday, May 3rd and for those who can't make it on the weekend, we are running it again on Friday, May 15th. Give Sheila a call at SGD to reserve your spot!!

OH and big news....Sheila has a new supplier for the Copics and she got her first shipment on Friday with another one coming sooooooon! And she's starting to carry refills too....yaaaaaaaay!!

Well, I'm off to work early this morning. I'm working a lot again this week as one of the gals is off on holidays. *sigh* It's gonna be another fun day, I'm sure!! Happy stampin'!!

High Hopes Hullaballoooooo....Day Three!!

Well, the day is finally here.........well, in a few hours, I guess. This is the last day of sneakie peeks from the newest release of High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!! They will be up on the site in the weeeee hours of Sunday morning, so be sure to sit down with a nice cuppa coffee in the a.m. and check them all out!!

For my last sample I have used this adorable butterfly image! I just wanna squeeze her little cheeks!! The colours were inspired by this wonderful pad by Daisy D's that my Mom brought me (along with a few others) over the Easter weekend. Thanks Momma!!! Aren't the pinks and purples just yummy??

I stamped the image on my Canson 150lb drawing paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copics. The card base is a 6x6 square Orchid Opulence card (hardly ever use that colour) and the matting around the dp is Mint Melody...remember that colour? It's retired now but I have a few sheets left. I also used Pretty in Pink. I added some lovely 'ribbon' I guess you would call it, but it's more like a bunch of threads intertwined. My Mom gave me that too! I attached some Prima flowers with Basic Grey brads and added the coordinating buttons to the main panel. I love the sentiment too!

Now be sure to stop by these other Divas' blogs to check out what they've done....you will not be disappointed:

High Hopes Hullaballoooooo...Day Two!!!

It's time for another High Hopes Hullaballoo sneakie peek!! This time I used one of the new cutie crawlies.....I call them that because they just aren't creepy! Too cute to be creepy, don't you agree??

I pulled out my Marrakech 6x6 pad to use as inspiration for this card as I thought the colours were perfect!! I stamped the image on Canson 150lb drawing paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it in with my Copics. The layout is actually from the Truly Scrumptious challenge for this week and it's an AWESOME sketch...I love it!!

The card base is Pacific Point and the image is matted on Tangerine Tango. I used my Martha Stewart fern leaf punch and added some more of my dollar store paper flowers in a bunch. The sentiment is actually from the last release but is just right for this image. I finished it off by adding some blue brads and some white acrylic paint for highlights.

Now don't forget that these stamps are not available until the wee hours of Sunday morning....but you can drool over them along with us, until then!!

Be sure to check out the other super creations by the Divas!!

High Hopes Hullaballoooooooo...Day One!

Woohooo!! The day is here...I can finally start sharing some of my designs featuring the new High Hopes release stamps!!! Yippeee!

Honestly, it's been killing me not to be able to show these to anyone, 'cause they are SO dang cute!!! I hope you like cute kiddies and I hope ya like creepy crawlies....I mean cutie crawlies!!

So today my card features this new adorable Pajama Girl....actually I don't know her official name because they aren't available until Sunday morning!! Let's just call her Pajama Girl! I stamped her on my new favourite Canson 150lb drawing paper, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers.

The patterned papers that I drew my colour inspiration from are by Dream Street. The cardstock is all Bazzill Bling and I pierced around the largest panel. I used my new Apron Lace border punch by Fiskars on the green strip across the middle, added some white satin ribbon and stamped the sentiment on the smaller square panel. The paper flowers you see were found at the dollar store in a bunch. I just snipped off the stems and attached them with glue dots. The main layer is pop dotted and I added some pearls to the corner!! Ain't she a doll!??

Have a super stampy day!!!

I've Been Waiting For Heifer......

This week's High Hopes Challenge #19, brought to us by Amy, is to use sponging on your design!! Well, when I think sponging, I think distressing! And when I think distressing, I like to rough up the edges of my papers as well as sponge them....just have to get the full effect of the distressing, know what I mean??

So I inked up Maribelle Cow and coloured her up with my Copic markers. I used Blush dp by Basic Grey, Close to Cocoa for the base and accented with Pink Pirouette. I sponged the main image and all the dp with Close to Cocoa ink and then roughed up all the edges using my scissors. I pop dotted the cow, added some BG buttons with hemp twine and added the perfect sentiment!!

I made this card yesterday while I was at Andrea's house! I packed up a small portion of my craft room (which ended up filling the entire back seat of my car) and arrived around 10:45am. We got busy doing a little sumpin', sumpin' for Scrappin' Great Deals (can't spill the beans just yet, but we'll share the deets with you around the beginning of March). Then we started stampin'!! Andrea's pal Diane came over to play for a bit too! We got LOTS accomplished (in between the lauging and goofing around). Andrea's hubby is the best!! He ran out and picked up Wendy's for lunch for us AND stopped at Timmie's for coffee etc. Then he made up sub sandwiches with all the fixin's for din-din!! We stopped and watched Dark Knight while we ate and had a little break from stampin'.

Andrea's girls are just a hoot! I love them!! Kaitlyn is 9 and she is an awesome little scrapbooker! She showed me the book she is working on right now and she does an amazing job!!! And Jaime is 12 and she showed me the girls' bedroom with all the super cool Twilight posters covering an entire wall!! Hi girls!! *waving*

The weather was pretty bad yesterday with a bit of a snowstorm, so I was planning to stay overnight at Andrea's. But when we finished stampin', around 12:30am (how's that for marathon stamping?), it was pretty clear outside, so I drove home. Well, as I was typing this, I got an email from Andrea telling me, oh so delicately, that I had left my big black rolling tote bag over there and guess what it has in it?? ALL my Copic markers!!!!!! OH YES!!! I have a bit of a nauseous feeling going on right now, so I think I'm going to go lie down... I feel so naked......I can't stamp right now!!! WHAT?? Everything's going black.....I may pass out......guess I should have stayed overnight!!

Well, hope YOU have a good day..........

High Hopes Hullaballoo!!! Day 3!!!

Well, it sounds like you gals are almost as in love with the new HH release as I am!! ALMOST!! hehehe! Aren't they just a-freakin'-dorable??? I think this is Crissy's best stuff yet!!!

The image on today's card is one of my faves from the lot (second only to Mad Cow)....Momma Bunny and all her little babies are just too cuddly!!!

When I started this card, I actually had a piece of DCWV dp for the colour inspiration, but in the end I didn't use it. I chose instead to use Kraft cardstock for the base and mat the main image with Baja Breeze. The sentiment (ain't it the truth?) is stamped on Pink Pirouette and I made the flower/button/linen thread cluster to go in the corner. Of course I used my Copics to colour the main image and pop dotted everything.....do I really even have to say that anymore?? You just know that's my MO by now, don't you?? Heehee!

So hop around the other Divas' blogs (links are on my sidebar) and check out all the wonderful High Hopes Hullaballoo posts!! You will just DIE!!! *snort* Now remember, you can order these babies starting tonight at midnight EST!!! I hope you've been saving your pennies.....or maybe you could work something out with your significant other...*wink, wink*....it is Valentine's Day ya know!!!

Well, Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!! It's going to be an UN-Happy one for me as I not only have to work all day, but I have to work all day with MY BOSS!! *sigh* All this and heaven too?? I'm so lucky.....NOT!! Hope you have a good one!

P.S. If you would like to know who the random winner of the Grand Prize is....just go HERE!!!

High Hopes Hullaballoo! Day 1!!

Hey there stampers!! Do I have some exciting stuff to share with you today!!! As you probably know, High Hopes is releasing about 75 new images and sentiments on Sunday!! Woohooo!! I know, right?!! Well, we Divas couldn't hold in our excitement any longer, so we've decided to share some peeks with you over the next three days leading up to the release!!! Sound like fun???

Just WAIT until you see them all!! But the VERY first stamp I had to play with was this Mad Cow!!! Isn't she a hoot?? She makes me giggle every time I look at her!! I just love the totally ticked off look on her face!! I stamped the fence on Wausau bright white cardstock and stamped the cow on a separate piece, coloured her with my Copics and cut her out. I pop dotted her on top of the main layer and matted with Brocade Blue.

The card base is a 6x6 Chocolate Chip and I'm sorry, but it's been so long since I actually made this card, that I can't remember who makes the dp!! I sponged around the edge of it with Walnut Stain distress ink, layered it on Certainly Celery and sewed it with a zig zag stitch. I added some funky Making Memories crocheted ribbon, added the sentiment using my oval punches and attached some Prima flowers with a Basic Grey brad! Ta daaaaaaaaa!! Isn't she a riot?? There are other awesome sentiments to go with her like, 'Mooood Swing' and 'I've been waiting for Heifer to hear from you'.

Be sure to check out the other Divas' blogs and galleries (the list is on my sidebar) and see if you can find some more High Hopes Hullaballoo going on!!! And come on back tomorrow, because I'll have some more!!

OH and I almost forgot!! If you'd like to know who the random winners are for Challenge #4, go to this post!!
