Ruffled Tilda in the Garden!!!

I got a LOT accomplished yesterday on my day off! I made a total of 5 cards....but most of them I can't share with you JUST yet!!! You know My Favorite Things is releasing 3 new sets of stamps on Wednesday, May 7th, so I've got some uber cute samples made up for you to see!!! It's so hard to wait though!!!

Anyway, this card is the first one I created yesterday! The Cute Card Thursday challenge was posted, so these new Magnolia stamps worked perfectly!!! The challenge was to design a card with an 'In the Garden' theme and I just received the Spring Stamp Club Kit from Magnolia this week!!! Colour me excited!!! The kit is a super value with 6 Tildas and Edwins along with lots of accessories, but the best part for me was this awesome tree swing stamp!! I just love it!!

Anyway, I thought the colours from the Afternoon Tea dp would go really nicely with this little Tilda, so I coloured her in with my Copic markers in matching colours. Tilda was stamped separately and I cut her out. I stamped the tree swing, the new clouds and the snail all on one piece of Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured them in too. The card base is a 6x6 piece of textured Groovy Guava cardstock and I matted with Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky. I distressed the patterned paper layer, added some glitter brads in the corners and also some Prima hydrangeas and leaves. Then I pop dotted Tilda on her summer swing!!

I checked today's Ways to Use It challenge on SCS too and it was to use ruffles or pleats on your card. Well I've been hoarding this retired ruffled chocolate ribbon by SU for so long because I LOVE it, but this was a good reason to use it and I think it looks perfect!

Can you guess what the finishing touch is??? YEP!! Stardust Stickles of course! I was playing with the macro feature on my camera today and took a really close shot so you can see the Stickles on her wings and the snail and I also put a little on the edges of the clouds. Hope ya like it!!

Today I have to work but I'm also heading out of town with a coworker to a genealogy workshop.....not my idea of a good time, I'm afraid. Then I'm back to the library to work the evening shift AND all day on Saturday. Poo. Hope you get lots of stamping done this weekend!!!

Oh this is precious! I can't wait to ink up my swing! I have a few more projects to get done... but then I'll be swinging too. Your card is wonderful as always, I love the way you popped her and the stickles on the snail.
