Rainy Day Tilda!

So my friend (and fellow enabler) Angela, stamped me a few Magnolia images a while back. Well, I fell in love with them and had to purchase this one in particular! So cute!

I got this one from Phebe at The Town Scrapper and she has lots of Magnolias in stock! Just email me if you'd like her direct phone number or email address! I'm happy to help another stamper get their hands on some rubbah!! I also got the lovely patterned paper from Phebe too. It's the DCWV Nana's Kitchen stack and so soft and pretty!

The base is a 6x6 green Bazill Bling square card and I also used So Saffron for matting. I used the basic layout from this week's Friday Sketchers design, which uses that large curved layer. I love that look and I'm going to have to use curves and circles more often.

I stamped Tilda on this awesome new Copic paper from All That Scraps. It is FAN-freakin'-tastic, this paper ....and so thick! It's so white and the ink really grabs and makes a nice stark image. There's nothing worse than a faded image. I coloured her with my Copic markers and these are the numbers I used: E00, R20, E41, E42, E43, B000, B00, B01, G82 and Y23.

I added some little buttons with some blue Scrapper's Floss, attached some Prima hydrangeas with Basic Grey brads, added some wide grosgrain ribbon and pop dotted the main layer. I loooove her. Don't you?

Happy stampin'!!

Hi Friend!

It's going to be a really quick post this morning as I'm on the run to work again. Seems like I don't have much time to spend on the computer this week. It's go, go, go. Can you believe that I haven't stamped since Friday??? Yikes!

Anyhoo, when I did get a chance to stamp, I played with a Magnolia stamp. It's Tilda holding a tag and I think it's from the Valentine collection. I like it because I can stamp any little phrase I want on the tag to suit my card sending needs.

I stamped Tilda on Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. The papers I used are from the new Basic Grey Lemonade 6x6 paper pack that I scooped up last week. The card base is a 6x6 Purely Pomegranate base with Sparkle Bazzill Bling for matting. I used my circle Nesties to create the main layer and cut out Tilda and pop dotted her on it.

I added a strip of green Bazzill Bling and used my scalloped border punch across the bottom, then attached some Melissa Frances lacey ribbony stuff. Pretty, huh? Lastly I paper pieced two rows across the bottom of the card to add some texture. Oh and the layout is from a previous Just Magnolia challenge, I think. That's me, a day late and a dollar short!! Haha!

In case you are interested, here are the Copics that I used: E00, R20, BG11, R39, R81, R83, E25, E27, E21, YG03, E50 and E51.

Okay, I'm off and running! Hope you have a fabulous Wednesday!

Bloom and Grow!

I can't believe that I forgot to share this card with you....I made it a couple of months ago! I went back in my archives to double check and sure enough, I haven't shown it yet! *gasp* It features an image from the Magnolia Spring Kit, I think.....my memory sucks so I could be wrong!

I coloured the image using the Bloom and Grow papers by My Mind's Eye as inspiration....they are so summery and lovely. The rest of the card is fairly simple as I wanted the focus to be the sweet image, which I coloured with my Copics.

The layout is my own design...hehe...feel free to use it! I believe I used Tangerine Tango for the base and then used some die cut pieces from the MMEye kit. I stamped a CCDesigns sentiment on the tag and added some ribbon and tied it with linen thread. Everything is pop dotted....as usual...and then I added a pretty button to finish it off!

Well, it's supposed to rain most of the week here which kinda sucks because we have the Canada Day holiday on Wednesday. But I'm only working three days this week, so I don't really care!! Hahaha!! I'm going to get LOTS done in my craft room later this week....woohoo! But for now, it's off to the library!

Have a super inky day!!

Lilac Tilda!

Wow! It's warming up here in Ontario! What's it like where you are? I'm not a huge fan of the heat....especially the humid stuff. I'm a fragile flower, don'tcha know? I wilt in the heat. I'm just so thankful that we have central air conditioning!!

Anyhoo, I have a card to show you this morning that I made for a friend. She hasn't received it yet (I only mailed it yesterday) so I won't tell you who it's for. She might stop by and read this! Hehe!!

This is another new Tilda image from Magnolia Designs and I paired her up with the Wisteria papers by Basic Grey. I used this week's fantastic layout from the Friday Sketchers challenge. The card base is Elegant Eggplant with Almost Amethyst and Baja Breeze for matting and accents.

The image is stamped on Neenah Smooth cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I coloured her in using my Copic markers o' course! I also drew in the grass with my Copic multiliner pen. I attached some yummy Prima hydrangeas with Basic Grey brads, added some white satin ribbon and added a CCDesigns sentiment. I hope my friend likes it!!

Here are the Copic markers I used, in case you are interested: E00, R20, E41, E42, E43, E31, YG91, B60, B52, BV20 and V09.

As I said, I'm off to work at the library all day today, so no stampin' fun for me. I have to go to a workshop this afternoon with role playing and all. Blech. I HATE role playing....I mean who really likes it?? WHY do they make us do it? I feel ridiculous. Anyhoo, after work I'm going to get my eyes tested...I need new glasses. Lots of fun!

Have a super Tuesday!!

Rainy Day Tilda!

I had another chance to play with a stamped Magnolia image from my friend Angela the other day. This one...I just HAVE to get her! I love images with umbrellas. And this great layout is from this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge!

This one, again, is stamped on the Neenah Smooth cardstock....love it....with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The patterned papers I chose are from the new Pretty Please kit by My Mind's Eye. The card base is a 6x6 square in rosey Bazzill Bling withe Barely Banana and Regal Rose to mat. I coloured Tilda in with my Copics, o' course! Then I cut her out and embossed her with my Nesties. I used my Apron Lace border punch on the Regal Rose, added some gorgeous satin ribbon that I picked up at the $ store, believe it or not, and finished her off by adding some wonderful Prima Caboodles that I picked up at The Town Scrapper. Ain't she a cutie???

People have asked where to get the Neenah cardstock and I'm doing a bit of research in that area. There are a couple of places over the border that sell it but I refuse to pay ridiculous shipping prices, especially when I might get dinged for duty and exchange as well. But I did find out that All That Scraps carries their own 'Copic Quality Cardstock' and I'm going to try that out. I'll let you know when it gets here!! If you know of anywhere in Canada that sells it, please let me know!

Happy stampin'!!

Sunshine and Sunflowers!!

I just love this crafty industry...don't you?? Just when you think you've got it all figured out and you've found your favourite this or that and you'll never use anything else....someone else introduces you to something NEW!!! Aaah.

One of my fave 'students' at my classes is Angela! She is always thrilled to be hangin' out and stampin' away with all of us gals and she's just a bright, shiny presence! (It could be that she's just excited to have a day to herself, what with three kiddos all under the age of 5, but I like to think that it also has something to do with our super fun classes!) Well, at Sunday's class she introduced me to some new white cardstock...and I'm in L-O-V-E!! It's Neenah Smooth cardstock and she sent me home, not only with some stamped Magnolia images but also with a few sheets of the Neenah to try out!! Thank you, Angela!!

Yesterday morning I had a couple of hours to play before work, so I made this card!!! The image is Angela's and I ADORE it! I want it!! The best thing I find about this cardstock is that it's just a little bit smooth so it doesn't soak up the ink. So when I stamp something in Memento ink, it gives a nice crisp, clean, dark image, which I love! Also the Copic ink shows up nice and bright too!!

So I started with a 6x6 Chocolate Chip square base and the patterned papers are from the new Early Bird line from Cosmo Cricket! I matted and accented with Real Red and Blue Bayou. I used a Fiskars border punch on the side, added lots of Prima flowers with antiqued brads and added a High Hopes sentiment on Marigold Morning cardstock. I pop dotted everything and added a little bit of white highlights on Tilda's cheek with a gel pen.

Here are the Copic markers that I used: E00, R20, E43, E44, E47, BG10, BG18, YR21, YR23, R29, YG03 and G82!

Thanks again, Angela! I have a new favourite white cardstock thanks to you!

Well, I'm working all day today, getting back into the swing of things at the library after being off for a week. I've got lots to catch up on so I'll be busy, busy. Hope you have a good one!!

Wisteria Tilda!!

Yesterday I had a chance to stamp just for the sake of stampin' which was fun. So I played along with this week's Just Magnolia Challenge which was a sketch....and I love me some sketches!!

I used one of the Tilda images from the Spring Kit Collection and paired her up with Wisteria papers by Basic Grey. I stamped her on Wausau and coloured her in using coordinating Copic markers, then cut her out. The card base is a 6x6 Elegant Eggplant square and I used Baja Breeze for accenting. I followed the fab sketch, added some Magenta flowers, SU buttons and thin twine. I did a little bit of ribbon pleating with some wide Baja Breeze twill and added a bow. I pop dotted everything and then finished it off with a sentiment from AmyR's Friends set. Isn't she lovely?

If you are interested, here are the Copics that I used: E00, R20, E40, E41, E42, YG91, B52, B60, BV20, V09, G12, E31.

Well, we're taking off today. I think we will be driving to Toronto and doing some shopping at the Eaton's Centre perhaps. I don't think there are any stamp/scrapbook stores nearby but I could use some new summer clothes. Can you imagine, spending money on clothes rather than stamping supplies?? How odd. *giggle*

Treat Yourself....Pretty Please!!

Well, happy Thursday stampers!!! What's so happy about it?? Well, I hear it's going to be another warm and sunny one here in Ontario! Yaaay! I think I'm going to wear capri pants to work today....good thing I shaved my legs!! haha!!

Today's card features some deeeeelicious new paper that I scooped up at Scrappin' Great Deals last weekend! It's a new paper pack by My Mind's Eye called Pretty Please! And boy is it ever PRETTY!!! I think Sheila might be sold out of it at the moment but I'm sure she'll get more in soon!

I decided to pull out one of my older Magnolia stamps to play with. I love Tilda with her rolling pin and her apron. I paired her up with the Magnolia muffin stamp and the sentiment is by CCDesigns.

The lovely layout is this week's sketch over at the Just Magnolia blog. I used Bazzill Sparkle cardstock along with Apricot Appeal and Regal Rose. I used my Nesties on the focal layer and cut out Tilda and mounted her beside the muffin. I added some yummy Prima Hydrangeas, attached them with rhinestone brads and added some Stardust Stickles to the flowers, the hearts on the muffin and of course, Tilda's wings. The finishing touch really was the pleated ribbon at the bottom. I saw the tutorial on how to do this technique over on Splitcoast by the totally talented, Amy Sheffer.

So who saw the finales for Dancing with the Stars and American Idol??? I was shocked by both winners! I was thrilled that Shawn won...even though my pick was Melissa. And I was over the moon and Emileigh and I actually screamed out loud when Kris won on AI!!! I mean, Adam is totally a talented singer, but he's just not my style. He's too....theatrical for me. I will totally buy an album by Kris. And was he ever shocked when he won!!!

Well, I'm off to work today....lots to do. But tonight Emileigh and I will be cuddling up on the couch to watch the premiere of So You Think You Can Dance!!! We're excited to see what this season has in store for us!! We looooooove dancin'!!!

Happy stampin'!!

Have a Delicious Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!! I got to spend the day stamping in my craft room, so I joined in a few challenges that I normally don't get to, so that was nice.

I played with an older Magnolia stamp for the 'Good Enough to Eat' challenge over at the Truly Scrumptious blog. It was a fabulous sketch along with the twist of having something good enough to eat on it!!

I stamped Cupcake Tilda on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in using my Copic markers. The patterned papers I used are from the Zinnia collection by Little Yellow Bicycle....I just love the rich colours. I cut the main image out using my new Nesties and embossed her as well. Then I stamped a little cupcake and coloured it and punched it out with my circle punches.

The card base is a 6x6 Night of Navy square card and I used Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery for accent colours. The sentiment is from a CCDesigns set and it was perfect for this card. I added a trio of glitter brads in the corner, some gauzey ribbon across the middle and pop dotted everything. I finished it off by adding some highlights with a white gel pen and sparkle to her wings with a Clear Spica pen!!

Now, everytime I post a Magnolia card, people ask me where I got them. There are lots of places online, but if you live locally, give Phebe a call at The Town Scrapper!! She's got lots!!

Hope you have a 'super delicious' day.....has anyone seen that commercial??? Emileigh and I laugh everytime we see it!!!

Just Magnolia Friend!!

I scooped up the new Basic Grey Wisteria (and Lime Rickey) 6x6 pad, brads and buttons the other day when they came in to Scrappin' Great Deals. (Actually I don't even think they were all completely unpacked or priced....but I HAD to grab them...hehe!) I just looooove the purples and blues in the Wisteria, don't you? I think you're either a purple person, or you're not....I totally am. I mean, my wedding was purple!

So this is the first design I made using the new Wisteria stuff and I got a chance to play along with the Just Magnolia sketch challenge for this week too! Can you believe this poor little girl was still in her package....all sad and unloved?? *gasp* So I inked her up good with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped her on 150lb Canson paper and used my coordinating Copic markers to colour her in, then cut her out. The card base is a 6x6 Perfect Plum square along wth Baja Breeze for matting.

I used my new Blossom Nestabilities dies and added some satin ribbon across the middle. I used these cool rhinestone flourishes for the first time (and definitely not the last) and attached some Prima flowers and a jewellery spacer with a Wisteria brad. Then I added a friend sentiment by AmyR at the bottom. I finished it off by adding some highlights on Tilda with a white gel pen.

Well, I'm off to work again this afternoon and evening but I hope to get a couple of things done this morning, in between loads of laundry. Happy stampin'!!!

Butterfly Wishes!!

I got a chance yesterday (before I headed in to work) to join in with this week's Just Magnolia challenge! This is a new challenge blog to use....you guessed it....just Magnolia stamps! haha! This is great because I have so many of them and it gives me a great excuse to pull them out and play with them!

This girlie is from the new Spring Kit release. The challenge was to use Pink and Green on your design, so I pulled out some of this awesome Daisy D's paper that my Momma picked up for me (along with a few other packs). I stamped Tilda on Canson 150lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in using my Copic markers. The card base is Bazzill Bling and I matted with Gable Green. I layered up some Prima and Magenta flowers along with a jewellery spacer and attached them with green glitter brads. I used wide satin ribbon and attached a butterfly charm with silver cord. The sentiment is from Stampingbella and I pop dotted the main layer and added a trio of sparkly rhinestones!!

Be sure to come back and see me tomorrow as I've got some 'sun-sational' samples for the upcoming CCDesigns release!!! heehee! Have a stampin' great day!!

Black Haired Cutie!

Here is a Tilda that I coloured a little while ago. Someone asked me how to colour black hair. I don't think I've ever done black hair before, so I pulled out several shades of cool gray copics and this is how she looks!! Pretty cool, huh?

This one is on it's way to Sweden at the Magnolia store. I used Tilda with Puppy and stamped her on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her with my Copics. The card base was supplied by Magnolia and I added Regal Rose and Bashful Blue cardstock along with the glittery dp from DCWV. I used my Nesties to cut her out and pop dotted her. I used my slot punch to make the hole to thread through some light blue Martha Stewart ribbon. I added some Prima flowers, brads and purple rhinestones!! So blingy! I also used my very first build-a-brad! I built it!! Yay me!

Well, the weather is starting to get warmer here in Ontario. And I'm not likin' it! What? you say....well, apparently over the winter, I've gained a few pounds back because my spring/summer pants are a tad too tight. Grrr. Anyone else in the same predicament?? I don't wanna go out and buy new ones but do I really want to starve myself again? Well, not starve exactly, but suffer tremendously anyway. I hate dieting and I hate excercise. Who's with me????

Shy Tilda and a Copic Class!

Well, it's Monday again....yuck. The start of another busy week. I work 6 days at the library plus I'm teaching three classes in the evening.....trust me, it wasn't planned that way! haha!! Oh well, I'll have to make sure that I get LOTS of sleep!

Today's card is actually the first one that I made with my favourite new paper for Copics....150lb Canson drawing paper. I just loved the way the colour laid down on this paper and the shades are less stark and blend better on this paper. You can read more about it here.

I stamped Shy Tilda on my new paper (I think The Town Scrapper might still have this stamp) using Memento ink and I used my Copics to colour and shade her. The papers I used are by Dream Street and all the cardstock is Bazzill Bling....I looooove me some bling!

I added some satin ribbon across the middle and a flower charm that came all the way from Switzerland from my friend Katharina. I pop dotted the main layer and added a couple of pink brads. So soft and sweet.

I'll also share with you one of the cards that we'll be making tonight at a Copics 101 class that my pal Andrea and I are teaching at Scrappin' Great Deals. This one used Odie by High Hopes. It's a very simple card because we are focusing on the colouring and learning how to use the Copics in different ways. You can see one of my other designs for tonight HERE....you'll actually be making 4 awesome designs...these are just a couple. We taught this class on a Saturday, but we are reteaching it tonight for those who needed a weeknight class. If you'd like to join us for some colouring, some papercrafting and LOTS of fun, just call Sheila at the store....there are only a couple of spots left!

Okay, well I don't work at the library until this afternoon, so I'm going to prepare everything for tonight's class and package up some of my cards to sell in the store. Then I'm going to try to work on some samples for the new Lizzie Anne Designs release and the sneak peeks start on Wednesday!!! Hahaaaaaa!

Easter Blessings

Well, I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. At least it's sunny here in Ontario. I've enjoyed the last couple of days off but sadly, I have to work all day at the library today. Apparently, people can't live without their books or their free internet access for one more day. *sigh*

Today's card features a new Magnolia stamp that I just got from All That Scraps....Tilda with Lamb and I just adore it. So sweet and innocent. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Canson Drawing Paper that I am currently in love with (see yesterday's post for details) and coloured her in using my Copic markers. I did a soft wash of pink around her and blended it with my colorless blender. Does it look okay?? I need some outside opinions.

I used my new Nesties to cut her out and emboss her and drew in some grass. The card base is Blush Blossom and accented with River Rock. The designer papers are from the Porcelain collection by Basic Grey, along with the brads. I used the Threading Water Fiskars border punch, added some sheer ribbon and attached a tag with an SU sentiment. The final touches were the Prima hydrangeas and the white acrylic paint for highlights.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

May God bless you and your family. Happy Easter!!

Don't Let the Little Things Bug You!!

Sorry I'm a little late in posting this morning, but I actually got to sleep in! I NEVER sleep in! It was awesome, so now I am posting while my coffee is brewing, the sun is shining....it's going to be a beautiful day!!

Yesterday I got to spend the day with my pal Andrea for her birthday and we stamped our little hearts out! We also made a trip out to Scrappin' Great Deals since it is only a few minutes from her house.....and I picked up some new 6x6 paper pads by WRMK, I got the new Large Octagons and Scalloped Octagon Nestabilities AND I picked up a couple of new Fiskars border punches....Apron Lace and Effervescence! Ahhh what fun! Here's a little tip for ya though.....just because it's your birthday, does not magically make you able to sing!!! SOME people are under this false assumption and I'm here to tell ya....it's a MYTH, people!!! *giggle*

Anyhoo, I played some more with my new Canson copic paper and coloured a lot of things. Here is the next card featuring this new paper! I used one of the new Magnolia Spring Kit images and some new Citrus glitter paper by DCWV. The card base is Pacific Point and I used Tangerine Tango for matting and the rest is DCWV dp. I had fun colouring on this new paper and doing more shading and using my blender pen! The sentiment is from the new Ladybug Friends set from CCDesigns.

I pop dotted everything and attached some Prima hydrangeas with some Basic Grey brads and then lined the bottom border with smaller brads! Pretty bright and springy, huh?

So I am really lovin' playin' with this paper and I was kind of sad because the only place I know to get it is in Toronto and would cost me shipping etc., plus I'd have to WAIT to get it....and I'm SO not good at waiting! WELL, Andrea saw the cover of the pad and said she was SURE that she saw it at Michael's. Let's just say, I had my doubts and I bet her five pretend dollars it wasn't there. So on my way home, I stopped in and lo and behold....there it WAS!!! I shall never doubt her again!! haha!! So it is about twice the cost at Michael's, but with my 40% off coupon I got it for a little bit more than at the other place and I didn't have to pay shipping OR WAIT for it to arrive in the mail!! It's a win-win situation, I think!! Heeheeeeeee!

Edited to Add: Okay, a lot of people want to see a picture of the pad, so here it is! It's called Canson Fanboy Drawing Pad and it's 150lb weight.

Well, today is a holiday for Good Friday here in Canada...yaaaay! I have lots of laundry to do, but I'd like to take a nice walk in the sunshine and then do some stampin'.....of course!!! What are YOUR plans???

Cute as Can Beeeee!!

I actually coloured this new Magnolia Spring Kit image while I was in Toronto for the Copic workshop. I was playing with my markers alongside Nickabella at the Bella store, which was SO much fun! Hi Nicky!! Miss ya!!

I pulled out these papers from the Bloom and Grow kits by My Mind's Eye and used the colours as a guideline. I used Taken with Teal for the 6x6 square card base and also Pumpkin Pie for matting. I distressed anything and everything on this card using my Cutterbee scissors. I used my Creative Memories cutting system to make the circle layers, cut out Tilda and pop dotted her. I added some rhinestone bling in the corner, some of the MME diecuts and finished it off with some white acrylic paint for highlights.....oh and some sparkle on the bee's wings.

There ya go.....cute as can beeeeee!! Have a super Saturday!!!
