High Hopes Challenge #21!!

Good Sunday morning, stampers!!! Hope it's a nicer day in your neck of the woods, because it's grey and dreary here! Blech!!

Firstly, I want to say that our Bella class at SGD yesterday was such a HOOT!! We had a full class and it was such a fun group of ladies! HEY GIRLS!! *waving* Now that they have met Andrea and I, they know firsthand how crazy and obssessed with paper and ink we are!! *giggle* That's okay, you gotta love us.....right??? Anyway, this one went SO well, that we are tag team teaching another class on Tuesday, March 17th at 7pm....St. Patrick's Day! Maybe we'll have some green liquid beverages on hand that night...wink, wink!! Better not...there may be some crooked stampin' goin' on!! haha!! This class we will be focusing on Acrylic Stamps and we'll make four cards using stamps from My Favorite Things and Stampendous!!!! SO fun!! If you'd like to come play with us, just go the the SGD classes page for all the details!!!

Now for the HH Challenge today, we would like you to use Zigs and Zags on your cards!!! I pulled out my sewing machine and I actually had a good day with it! I didn't even have to swear at it or anything!!! Shocking!!!

I used Thoughtful Libby Angel on my card which is an older High Hopes image, but I LOVE her!! And I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the cloud....you can stamp whatever you like in the open cloud area.

The card base is a Basic Black 6x6 square card and I used these lovely papers from the Alissa line by Bo Bunny. The layout is from this week's fabulous Friday Sketchers challenge! I used Soft Sky and Pretty in Pink for the matting. I coloured Libby in using my Copic markers and then zig zag stitched all the layers. I pop dotted the main layer, added some fabulous Bo Bunny flowers and some rhinestone brads. I also made her wings all sparkly with Stardust Stickles. (BTWay, if you like my cards, Sheila now sells them in the SGD store. So if you'd like to purchase this particular card, you can get it there! heehee!)

Well, I'm taking off this morning! My honey and I are going to Toronto for a little overnight getaway and some shopping!! So I won't be posting tomorrow morning....but I WILL be visiting the BELLA herself!!! Yep! I've convinced Al to take me to the Bella Boo-tique on Monday, so I'm really excited about that!! I hope to have some pics to show you went I get back!!!

Have a super inky day!!!

What a bright and cheerful card! I love the colors, and the embellishments, and the zigging and zagging! Have fun with your man - he sounds like a keeper! I have a good man too - when we travel, he stops and lets me indulge in all of my addictions!
