My Last Card Class.....

I wasn't able to get a card done for yesterday's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge this week. It was a rather challenging week...in more ways than one. Time ran out. But I did want to share this card with you that I made using Lavinia from our Steampunk line of Moonlight Whispers stamps!

I made this card for the last Copic class that I taught at Scrappin' Great Deals. Sadly..*sniff*.. this was the last class I'll be teaching at the store. With working at the library, running the new business, keeping up with a house and family, I just had to give some things up. I will miss it dearly, but I really have to focus on running Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and my customers come first!! Love you guys!

Anyhooooo....I used some lovely Fiskars designer papers and all the cardstocks are by Bazzill. I stamped Lavinia on Neenah cardstock with Memento ink and coloured her in using the following Copic markers: E000, R20, E50, E51, E53, YG63, BV20, BV23, V91, V93 and V95. I cut out the image with my Nesties and embossed it, then while the frame was still on it, I sponged around the edges with some purple chalk ink. I added one of the fun sentiments from our new Steampunk Sentiments stamp set and attached some lovely flowers with green brads.

Be sure to hop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge blog and check out our fabulous window card challenge! If you join us and use a KKStamp, you could be a random winner! Go check out the fabulous designs that the Krafty Girls put together!!

Happy kraftin'!!

Sugarplums Birthday!

Good Wednesday morning, stampers! I've got a little preview for you from the new CCDesigns release from All That Scraps! You know how I love the Sugarplum kids....well, this month, they are having a birthday party!!

I used Trevor on my design, along with some awesome new glittery My Mind's Eye papers! They were just perfect for a fun birthday card!

I stamped the image on Neenah white using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in using the following Copic markers: E000, R20, C3, C5, C7, W0, BG72, BG75, BG0000, R29, YR15, YR18, YG03, YG25, E13 and E15.

The card is a 6x6 black square and I used Real Red and Green Galore for matting and the sentiment. I also punched some stars out of a stack of glitter papers by DCWV. I pop dotted everything and voila! A perfect boy's birthday card!!

Also the fabulous sketch I used is from the Truly Scrumptious challenge for this week!

You should hop on over to the ATS blog to check out more samples using this set and also leave a comment for your chance to win them!!!

Have a krafty day!!!

My Nekkid Kard!!

I have to say that I was having heart palpitations at the thought of this week's challenge...brought to us by the lovely and amazing Donna!!! She decided that her challenge would be......get this.....NO EMBELLISHMENTS!!! *gasp* I know, right?! That's just plain crazy talk!! I mean, no ribbon, no brads, no bling?! Is she insane?? I think she is! But...being a gal who'll try just about anything once....I took the challenge!

I chose to use the new Flower Fairy image by artist Crissy Armstrong! LOVE these new fairies! I pulled out some awesome My Mind's Eye papers and coloured my fairy with my Copic markers. The fantastic sketch that I used is actually today's challenge from Sketch Saturday and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is this week's sponsor!! You could win yourself some awesome rubber by joining us!

Let me tell you, it was tough not using any embellishments on this card, but I was able to use my scalloped border punch and my new label punch for the sentiment, which is from the Fairy Sentiments set. It was literally painful for me not to add ribbon to it....or brads....or bling...but I did it! And I'm proud! Even though it does feel kinda nekkid! Haha!!

Now hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and check out the fantastic creations by the Krafty Girls! Then take the challenge with us and you could be a random winner of some new KKStamps!! And if you upload your cards to Splitcoast, be sure to use the keywords KKSC14 and KraftinKimmie (no spaces) and your design will show up in our very own gallery!! Woohoo!

Have a Krafty weekend!

It's Saturday again, and you know what that means!! Time for a super fun Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week, I'm the hostess!! heehee!!

It's getting closer to the lovey holiday, so I think we need to make some V-Day cards, don't you?? So this week's challenge is to use Pink and Red and Chocolate on your card....AND as an added challenge, use some Hearts too!!!

For my card I used the ever so adorable, Bonnie and Clyde! I think they are porcupines, but some say they are hedgehogs! Whatever you like, they're cute and they are in looooooove!!

I stamped them up on Neenah and coloured them with my Copics. The card base is chocolate bazzill with red matting. The adorable patterned paper is by Bo Bunny and don't you LOVE that scrumptious ribbon??? I added a trio of brown pearls and some punched hearts! The sentiment is from Kimmie's Sassy Sentiments set! OH! And I used this week's wonderful Mojo Monday sketch #121!!

Pink Elephant Meets Kraftin' Kimmie!

Good morning, stampers!! Wow, what a busy weekend! It's Monday again...time for work! Blech! Well, maybe this will start your week off well!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring this week's challenge over at The Pink Elephant blog! The theme this week is Birthday and you should see the fabulous designs that their design team made! Wow! And I'll be posting the Krafty Girls creations over at the KKS Challenge Blog in a bit. Fantastic!

Of course, our new Cindy and Mindy image called Party Time is perfect for this challenge! So I stamped them on Neenah with Memento ink and coloured them in with Copic markers. I coordinated the colours with this fun new Pink Paislee paper. The colours I used are: E00, R20, R22, R29, E50, E53, BG11, BG13, E13, E25, G20, G99 and RV11. After I coloured it, I covered the balloons in crystal lacquer and then sprinkled glitter all over them and set it aside to dry.

The card base is a deep red Bazzill cardstock and the size is 5 1/4 square. I also used Sparkle Bazzill Bling cardstock for layering underneath the patterned paper and used my favourite MS border punch across the bottom. I added some chocolate satin ribbon, tied it in a bow and added a pink button with linen thread. I pop dotted the main layer and the sentiment, which happens to be the bonus sentiment stamp that comes with the Party Time stamp and finally added a couple of green rhinestones in the corner!

I also created this card for the Copics class that I'm teaching over at Scrappin' Great Deals later on this month. The class is almost full, so be sure to give Sheila a call at the store if you want to sign up for one of the last spots!!

Now if you decide to join in this week's Pink Elephant Challenge, you'll be in the rand

om draw to win THREE Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps of your choice!! So get stampin'!!

Now this is a Blog Hop of course, so if you are just landing on my blog, you may want to start at the beginning which is over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog! Start there, then hop from blog to blog and check out all there is to see. Be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because three lucky stampers will each win a package of stamps from the new release!! Every comment gets you another chance to win!!

If you are landing here from the wonderful Michele's blog, then you are in the right place. Actually my blog is the end of our tour today! So let me share my two creations with you!!

First I have used the adventurer Emelia from the Steampunk line of images from the terrifically talented Annie Rodrigue! Isn't she awesome?? I pulled out some colourful papers by Basic Grey and coloured her in accordingly with my Copic markers. The colours I used are: E000, E00, R20, BG10, BG11, E53, E55, E44, B37, G20, G21, G82, G85, YR09 and W00.

Al the cardstock is SU and the rest of the papers are Basic Grey. I used a fun border punch on the Chocolate Chip layer and added some striped twill across the middle. I used some Basic Grey brads and a button tied on with twine. I also stamped the airplane accessory stamp that comes with Emelia, coloured it up, cut it out and pop dotted it. Finally, I stamped the Just Plane Fun sentiment from the Steampunk Sentiments set that was created by my sassy pal, Jeanne Streiff! This set of phrases is so much fun and was made specifically to coordinate with the new images!!

My second card is a very girlie card....just like me! These images are by the wonderful Jean Grant!! I stamped the new Dance Recital image with Cindy and her teddy bear Mindy on Neenah white using Memento ink and coloured them in lots of pinks!! I used: E00, E43, E44, R81, R83, R85, G20 and C00.

The card base is Chocolate Chip and the patterned papers where out of my stash....and they use my fave colour combo by the way, pink and brown! I'm not sure of the brand of papers...maybe MME? Anyhoo, I used a scalloped border punch on the brown polka dot strip and I distressed the edges of some of the layers with my distressing tool. I used Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette to mat the main layer and pop dotted it.

I dressed up the card by adding some satin and sheer pink ribbon and a little bling at the bottom. The sentiment I used is actually the bonus sentiment stamp that comes with Dance Recital. I then added the final sparkly details with my clear Spica pen.

Well, that's it! That's the end of the hop! Now ALL 12 of the new images and both sets of new sentiments are up on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps website! And be sure to read the homepage as there are some Customer Special details that you don't want to miss out on!

Have a Krafty day!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge 12!

Back in the day....I really loved my Heavy Metal....you know, the cute guys with the long hair and tight pants?? I know you do!! Some of the music was alright too!! hehe!! But this week, for our Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge....Tara wants us to use Heavy Metal on our cards!!! Pull out those charms, those brads, eyelets, grommets, metallic paper, do the faux metal technique...whatever you like! Use a little or a lot! And if you join us for the challenge, you could be the random winner of a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp!!!

For my card I wanted to use the GORGEOUS new Bird Fairy image by the terrifically talented Crissy Armstrong!! I think I say this every month....but I think these are her best images YET!! I stamped the Bird Fairy on Neenah cardstock using Memento Ink and coloured her in using the following Copic markers: E00, R000, N0, E50, G20, YG03, RV32 and RV34.

I used SU cardstock and the glittery patterned paper is by Imaginisce. I pulled out this sweet pink ribbon and ran a strip along the bottom and then made a pretty bow for the corner. I added some white pearls, added some sparkle to her lovely wings using my Stardust gel pen and stamped the sentiment (which comes with this image) on blue and pop dotted it. The finishing touch was the fantastic fairy ornament hanging from the bow! And that's the Heavy Metal part of my card!

Be sure to hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and check out the gorgeous designs from our wonderful Krafty Girls!! Then join in the challenge and you could win the new image, Dance Recital, as featured on Tara's gorgeous card!!! Then don't forget!!! January Release Previews.....Day 1!!

So here is our official first day of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sneak peeks....though you may have seen a few here and there over the last week! We just couldn't help ourselves! We are starting 2010 off with a bang, I must say!

Today I have TWO cards to share with ya.....once I started creatin', I just couldn't stop!

The first one features one of the new images from Crissy Armstrong! I wanted Crissy to go in a totally new direction this month and try something new.....and I think you are going to be amazed!!! She has done four GORGEOUS Fairy images!!! They are so elegant and magical and the one I've used for this card is Flower Fairy.

I pulled out some colourful designs by Crate Paper and got colouring with my Copic markers. I used: E00, G000, G12, E42, E43, Y32, RV32, RV34, BV01, BV02 and BV31. I used Almost Amethyst cardstock for the square base and the rest of the papers are from the Kaitlyn collection. I added some SCRUMPTIOUS velvet ribbon and attached some Prima hydrangeas with glittery brads! I pop dotted the main image and added some sparkly on her wings with my Clear Spica gell pen. I finished it off by adding the sentiment, which just happens to come as a bonus with the Flower Fairy image!!

The second card I have today is using one of the Steampunk line of images by Annie Rodrigue! I just LOVE colouring this one up! Her name is Genevieve! The fabulous patterned papers are by Bo Bunny and the card base is a Chocolate Chip square. I also used Pink Pirouette and some rosey bling cardstock for matting. I stamped Genevieve up and coloured her in using: E000, E00, R20, R000, RV32, RV34, E40, E41, E43, E44 and E47.

Do you love the embellishments on this gal?? That big, beautiful bow was actually made from some lovely ribbon that was tied around a pair of pajamas I got for Christmas....thanks Mom! And I added a corduroy button with some twine. Then I added two corduroy brads at the bottom . The main image is sponged around the edges and see that little map?? Well, that's the bonus accessory stamp that comes with the Genevieve image! Lastly I added the sentiment, which is one from the fabulous set of Steampunk Sentiments created by Jeanne Streiff to coordinate specifically with this release! Do you love her as much as I do??? heehee!

Anyhoo, hop on over to the Challenge Blog and there is a list posted of all the Krafty Girls who have samples for you to drool over today! Be sure to cover your keyboards ladies!!! And come on back tomorrow for our Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge and more previews!!

Cute Card Thursday Meets Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!

Well, I told you that you might get to see some of the new release images soon! Heehee! I can't wait to show them to you....and hear what you think of them!! They are ALL out of this world!!!

I'll copy here what I posted on the KKS Challenge Blog about the new release:

First off, have you ever heard the word Steampunk??? Well, if you have, you've never seen any Steampunk stamps!!! And that's what we're here for!! Annie Rodrigue has been having fun with this theme and these unique images are gonna rock your socks!! Think Victorian England, think gadgets and mechanics, think goggles, time travel and airships!! Have any of you seen the new Sherlock Holmes movie with my boyfriend, Robert Downey Jr. yet?? He's so handsome...... and buff...... and totally charming................hehem! I digress....well, THAT's what this new release is all about!! You're gonna love it!!

Secondly, Crissy Armstrong has TOTALLY outdone herself! She has gone in a totally new direction and her new line of fairies are so fantastical and flowy! When I look at these images and see the gorgeous creations that the design team has made using them, I feel like I'm in a meadow in springtime with a little bit of magic all around! They are absolutely incredible!!

And Jean Grant has the most adorable duo of Cindy and Mindy in some incredible fun situations!! They'll make you feel like dancin'.....or havin' a party......or shoutin' out loud......or goin' for a ride!!! Just wait until you see Cindy and her teddy bear Mindy, getting into some trouble this month!!

Now, I was serious about everything....including that Robert Downey Jr. is my boyfriend....has been since I was a teenager and I saw the movie 'Chances Are'....do you know that one?? Yep...it may be only in my head that he's my hunka hunka....but that's okay!!

Today's card is made for this week's Cute Card Thursday challenge!!! Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is the sponsor for this week's challenge and the theme is 'NEW'! Well, all of our new stamps fit that category perfectly!!! If you want to join the challenge, you could win some new KKStamps rubbah!!!

So my card features one of the images from our Steampunk line!!! This saucy gal is Lavinia!! (Don't you love the names I choose??? *giggle*) She's a Victorian lady in a corset and bustle....also with goggles and gloves! I think she's a time travelling adventurer myself!

I chose these scrumptious Eva papers by Basic Grey and some purple and olive cardstocks. I stamped Lavinia on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. Here are the colours I used: E000, E00, R20, RV91, RV93, RV95, E42, E43, E44, E47, YG93, YG99, BV23, BV29 and C00.

I sponged all around Lavinia using an olive chalk ink and pop dotted her. I added some satin ribbon, a button with linen thread and some pearls. Then I used one of the amazing sentiments from the Steampunk Sentiments set (created by the oh-so-talented Jeanne Streiff), that were made specifically to go with this line of funky images!!!

So go and hop on over to the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog and check out what all those talented gals have done! OH and several of the Krafty Girls have joined in this challenge and they've ALL used new images!!! GO! RUN!!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge......#11!

Woohooooo! Happy New Year to all my stampin' friends!!! Lots of inky wishes for each and every one of you! Lots of ink, rubber and time to use them!! Haha!

Today marks the first Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge of 2010! Not only that, but you get some EARLY sneak peeks of the January stamps!!! That's right! A couple of the Krafty Girls asked me if they could use the new stamps for today's challenge, since they had them in their hands already! I said, what the hey! (I really wanted to use mine too!) So you're going to see a few images that are new today!!

The uber-talented Michele is our host this week and she chose one of my favourite techniques! Paper piecing!! I love to cut out little clothes for my images using fun patterned paper, don't you?? It's little being a little girl again!

One special note! Anyone and everyone is encouraged to join in our weekly challenges, but in order to be eligible to win our blog candy, you must use a Kraftin' Kimmie image on your design. Also be sure to use the keyword KKSC11 and KraftinKimmie (all one word) when uploading to any online gallery, such as Splitcoast.....we've got our own gallery there now, didja know???

So the image I used for my design is a new Cindy and Mindy image by our newest artist, Jean Grant! This one is called Shout Out and I think it's perfect for Valentine's Day or just telling someone that you love them! It comes with the bonus coordinating sentiment too!!!

I stamped the image on white Neenah cardstock using Memento ink and then stamped it again on my patterned paper. I coloured the image in using my Copic markers: E00, R20, C00, E42, E44, E47, RV32 and RV34. The base is a 5 1/4 ins square of chocolate cardstock and I used blue bling for matting. The dress is cut out of the same dp as the matting for the main image. I pop dotted everything, added the sentiment and tied some yummy green twill in a bow for the final touch!

This image, as well as 11 others, plus two sets of sentiments, will be available on Sunday, January 10th!! Keep your eyes peeled as there will be more previews of the awesome new images beginning on Friday!

Well, I'm off early this morning....on my way to WORK!! Can you believe I have to work on a holiday Saturday?? It's not right, I tell ya!
