Happy Anniversary......Quixotic Paperie!!!

This month Quixotic Paperie are celebrating their 2nd Anniversary! As part of the celebrations they are throwing the spotlight onto some of the fantastic stamp companies available in stock.

Today Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is in the spotlight, and some of the Krafty Girls have joined in to help celebrate! There are some fab samples from both the Krafty Girls and the Quixotic Paperie DT, so we would love for you to hop through the list below to see all the inspiration.

Kimmie started her stamp company in October 2009 and since then has brought us some wonderful images from some amazing artists: Annie Rodrigue, Steven Leary, Cheryl Alger, Crissy Armstrong and the latest addition Emilie Goulet!

The Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps range is available in the UK/Europe at Quixotic Paperie. If you're in Canada/US then you can find the stamps at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps direct!

As part of the celebrations and the spotlight today, we have a PRIZE GIVEAWAY!

Pop on over to the Quixotic Inspirations blog to get all the details and enter the draw to win some fantastic Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and more!

The card that I'm sharing with you to help celebrate today, features one of our new release stamps from the Asian Inspired line by Annie Rodrigue. She is called Natsuko which means Summer Child.

The papers I used are from a DCWV pack and all the papers are shiny and sparkly! These ones even have gold and glitter! I coloured her up with my Copic markers, added some wrinkled ribbon and added some Prima flowers in the corner. Lastly I added a sentiment layer featuring the one that comes with Natsuko!! Isn't she sweet??

So now for s0me more inspiration! Hop on over to each of the blogs below to see some yummy Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp goodness!

- Kimmie - Angie - Tara - Tracy -

Thanks for joining us and we hope you enjoyed checking out Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with us! Congratulations again to Elaine for having such a fabulous store and for reaching the TWO year mark!!! Happy Anniversary!!

It's Ma Birfday!!! And a BLOG CANDY CHALLENGE!!

Haha! It's ma birfday!! Yep!! All day! Sadly, I had to work...that's why I'm just posting this now! After work was great! I came home from work and the house smelled.....like yummy FOOD!!! I walked into the kitchen and my Momma jumped out and surprised me!! She lives about an hour and a half away, so this was a big surprise!!! She made roast beef, roast potatoes, gravy and YORKSHIRE PUDDING! All my faves!! Oh yah, and there was some broccoli too!

Anyhoooooo, I thought we should celebrate for my birthday....PLUS, this Friday is the third anniversary of my blog! SO in order to do this right, I'd like to give away some KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!!! How about that?????

But in order to have a chance to win, you have to take my challenge!!! It's easy, really. You need to make a birthday or anniversary card.....using the sketch on this card for inspiration:

I made this card featuring the adorable Shy Emmylou, using SU cardstock and these sparkly My Mind's Eye designer papers! Of course, I coloured her with my Copic markers! I added some Prima flowers with a glittery brad and that velvet ribbon you see is also sparkly!! I added the sentiment that comes with the image and I think she looks SUPER cute!

So the rules are: make a birthday or anniversary card using the sketch on my sample....it has to be a NEW card and not combined with any other challenges!! You can use any stamps you want to be included....but using KKStamps will get you extra points!! And instead of a random draw, the Krafty Girls and I will choose the winner(s). Depending on how many people play, that winner could be plural!! AND you have until Wednesday evening, Feb. 10th to join, as we start showing you sneaky peeks for the February release stamps the next day!!!! That's coming up soon......and the release is on February 14th!! Heeheeeeeee!

So just link us up here in this post....we can't wait to see your designs!

Happy birfday to me and happy krafting to YOU!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January Release Krafty Hop!!

It's FINALLY here!! It seems like forEVER since the December release, which was technically at the end of November! And we are super pumped to feature all the gorgeous new images!!

Now this is a Blog Hop of course, so if you are just landing on my blog, you may want to start at the beginning which is over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog! Start there, then hop from blog to blog and check out all there is to see. Be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because three lucky stampers will each win a package of stamps from the new release!! Every comment gets you another chance to win!!

If you are landing here from the wonderful Michele's blog, then you are in the right place. Actually my blog is the end of our tour today! So let me share my two creations with you!!

First I have used the adventurer Emelia from the Steampunk line of images from the terrifically talented Annie Rodrigue! Isn't she awesome?? I pulled out some colourful papers by Basic Grey and coloured her in accordingly with my Copic markers. The colours I used are: E000, E00, R20, BG10, BG11, E53, E55, E44, B37, G20, G21, G82, G85, YR09 and W00.

Al the cardstock is SU and the rest of the papers are Basic Grey. I used a fun border punch on the Chocolate Chip layer and added some striped twill across the middle. I used some Basic Grey brads and a button tied on with twine. I also stamped the airplane accessory stamp that comes with Emelia, coloured it up, cut it out and pop dotted it. Finally, I stamped the Just Plane Fun sentiment from the Steampunk Sentiments set that was created by my sassy pal, Jeanne Streiff! This set of phrases is so much fun and was made specifically to coordinate with the new images!!

My second card is a very girlie card....just like me! These images are by the wonderful Jean Grant!! I stamped the new Dance Recital image with Cindy and her teddy bear Mindy on Neenah white using Memento ink and coloured them in lots of pinks!! I used: E00, E43, E44, R81, R83, R85, G20 and C00.

The card base is Chocolate Chip and the patterned papers where out of my stash....and they use my fave colour combo by the way, pink and brown! I'm not sure of the brand of papers...maybe MME? Anyhoo, I used a scalloped border punch on the brown polka dot strip and I distressed the edges of some of the layers with my distressing tool. I used Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette to mat the main layer and pop dotted it.

I dressed up the card by adding some satin and sheer pink ribbon and a little bling at the bottom. The sentiment I used is actually the bonus sentiment stamp that comes with Dance Recital. I then added the final sparkly details with my clear Spica pen.

Well, that's it! That's the end of the hop! Now ALL 12 of the new images and both sets of new sentiments are up on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps website! And be sure to read the homepage as there are some Customer Special details that you don't want to miss out on!

Have a Krafty day!!!

We Have a Krafty Winner!!!!

Last Day of Challenges....awwwww!

Edited to Add: The random winner of the Grand Prize is......Heather from Enchanted Stamping!! Congrats Heather! Send me your mailing information and I will forward it on to The Town Scrapper!!!

Well, it's Saturday!! And my last day of Birthday Challenge fun!! Boooooooo. I love challenges myself and it seems that you all do too! So glad that you are enjoying them!!

Today's challenge will get you an extra entry into the Grand Prize Draw!!! I'll tell you about that a little later! On to the card!

This card features my favourite paper company (Basic Grey), my favourite flowers (Prima Hydrangeas) and some of my all-time favourite stamps (Magnolias)!! I used my new Bittersweet papers and die cut stickers, along with a Chocolate Chip square card base and some Martha Stewart heart punches. I just LOOOOVE these pink Hydrangea flowers and I used Bittersweet brads in the centres of them too.

I stamped Tilda with Heart on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in using my Copic markers. I cut her out and pop dotted her on the Nestie layer (which is also popped up). I finished her off by adding a little bit of highlighting using some white acrylic paint and then I used Shimmerz on her heart and made it all sparkly!! Whaddya think?? Do ya love her???

Would you like to know who is sponsoring the Grand Prize???? Well, it's the lovely and sweet Phebe from The Town Scrapper!! They carry all sorts of wonderful stamps like Magnolias (of course...where do you think I get them all), MFT, Hanna Stamps, High Hopes, CCDesigns and many more. She also has wonderful papers and embellishments....she keeps me stocked up!!! Anyway, would you like to see a picture of what the Grand Prize winner will receive?? Okay........

A pretty nice haul, I'd say!! I see a Rakle stamp, some Paper Pretties stamps, some Daisy Bucket, some Imaginisce goodies and lots of other bits and bobs!! So for every challenge you enter, you will be entered into the random Grand Prize draw, so get stampin'....I wanna see more cards!!! Heehee!!

So the challenge for today is to use a boy or girl stamp and flowers somewhere on your design!! Be sure to leave your comment on this post with a link back to your design. And if you upload to an online forum like Splitcoast, be sure to use the keyword KKBC6, so that we can all check them out!!

You are free to use ANY stamps, papers, embellishments etc., just follow along with the challenge requirements. In order to be included in the random draws, your designs can be combined with other challenges, but NOT my challenges. So you can't make a card using Monday and Tuesday's challenges and have them count for both draws. Get it?! Good.

The deadline for this challenge is Friday, February 13th at 8pm EST to be entered in the draw!

Also, don't forget that the more challenges you join in on this week, the better your chances are to win the Grand Prize at the end!!! So here is the link to Challenge #1, Challenge #2 , Challenge #3, Challenge #4 and Challenge #5!!

Okay, I'm workin' all day today.....so have fun stampin' without me!!! Hmph!!

Kimmie's Birthday Challenges...Day FIVE!!

Edited to Add: The random winner of this challenge is.....Kelly Schelske!!! Congrats Kelly and be sure to email me with your info!!

We have reached the FIFTH day of my Birthday Challenges and I hope you are having as much fun as I am!!! Heehee!! I have had my 38th birthday this week, my blog turned 2 years old yesterday AND I reached 300,000 visitors this week too!! Can you believe THAT?? Wow! Last year during my blogaversary, I hit 100,000 so this year my readership has doubled!! That's truly amazing and I really can't fathom it! Thank YOU so much for visiting me and encouraging me in my stamping adventures!!! On to today's challenge!!!

Challenge #5 should be a fairly easy one for most of you this time of year. I mean we all use patterned paper, right??? And it's the time of year to use hearts, right?? So please use both on your project today!!

Our sponsor today is the lovely and generous Sheila from Scrappin' Great Deals!!! The random winner will receive a $15 Gift Certificate to SGD! You can use it in the store in person or online and she ships worldwide!! How about that??!!

My card today features The Love Bandit from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Isn't he just a hoot?? I used some grey SU cardstock for the base and the rest is Love Letters 6x6 patterned paper which I got at SGD. Love the combination of colours in it and half the pad is die cut into 6x6 shapes, like the base dp on my card. The sketch I used is from this week's A Spoonful of Sugar challenge....love it.

I used my Karen Foster Snap Stamps to make the sentiment and punched it out with my round tab punch. I used Queen and Co. heart felt across the bottom and some pink heart brads from Hot Off the Press. I pop dotted the sentiment, the main layer and the Bandit himself. Not that I need to tell you by now, but I coloured him in using my Copic markers!!

I stamped Molly on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in using my Copic markers. Then I used my Labels Nestabilities to cut her out, emboss her and layer her using Real Red. The card base is Apricot Appeal and the strip of dp is from We R Memorykeepers. I added some blue ric rack and a button with linen thread. I pop dotted the main layer and the sentiment is by CCDesigns.

So for today's challenge I would like you to use an animal stamp and some ribbon or ric rack on your design!! Just head over to The MFT Lady's Blog to start from the beginning!!

The set I'm spotlighting today is a new Who's That Girl? set called Digital Girl!!! She's perfect for all us computer addicted gals! What?? You're not addicted to your computer?? Tell me...where are you right NOW??? hahaha! How many times a day do you check your email?? I won't even admit it....it would be much too embarassing!!

The main image is of me....I mean, of a girl, busily typing away at her computer, be it her home computer or work computer. And there are just SO many wonderful sayings!! SO me!!!

So I stamped the main image on Wausau bright white cardstock and also on a couple of pieces of Sugared dp by Basic Grey. I paper pieced her top and skirt and used my Copics to colour in the rest. The card base is Chocolate Chip and I used So Saffron and Pink Pirouette for matting. The layout is inspired by, although not exactly the same as, the MFT sketch for this past week, MFTSC66.
I distressed several layers of dp using Walnut Stain ink and a sponge, then added some Basic Grey brads, some wide pink ric rack and a button with linen thread!

For my Day Three challenge I would like you to use PINK on your design as well as at least one BUTTON!!! ANNNNNNND wanna guess who is sponsoring today's Kimmie's Challenge??? Kraftin' Kimmie's Birthday Celebrations! Day One!!

Edited to Add: The random winner of Challenge #1 is Naoul from A Scrapable Life!! Please email me with your mailing information and which CCDesigns stamp set you would like and I will forward it on to Christine at All That Scraps!! Congratulations!!

OOOOOHHHH I'm so glad you stopped by to see me today!!! It's Day One of Kraftin' Kimmie's Birthday Celebrations!!! All this week I'm going to have fun cards, crafty challenges and lotsa Kimmie's Kandy!!!! How's about that???

Each day this week I'm going to be posting a challenge and every chickie-poo who joins in, is in for the draw to win that day's prize!! AND each entry to the daily challenges gets you an entry into the GRAND PRIZE at the end of the week!! Sound like fun?? I think so!

Today's sponsor is All That Scraps online store!!! Tonight is the February release party over at the ATS Forum and one of the sets going live is featured on my rockin' birthday card today!!! Isn't Bear the cutest???

I used some awesome Three Bugs in a Rug dp as my inspiration for this one. I stamped Bear on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in using my Copic markers. The card base is Basic Black and the rest is dp. The stars are punched out of black glitter cardstock. I used my Nesties to cut him out and emboss him, drew in the ground and coloured his 'makeup star' with Angel Wings Shimmerz! I stamped the sentiment straight on the cardstock and added some lilac coloured twill!

NOW, for your challenge.....should you choose to accept it!! heehee!! Mom and I were talking yesterday about how difficult it is to match up blues and purples sometimes. So for today's challenge your card must be a birthday card and it must have some purple on it somewhere!! You are free to use ANY stamps, papers, embellishments etc., just follow along with the challenge requirements. In order to be included in the random draws, your designs can be combined with other challenges, but NOT my challenges. So you can't make a card using Monday and Tuesday's challenges and have them count for both draws. Get it?! Good.

Please be sure to leave me a comment on this post with a link to your creation. And if you post it to an online gallery like SCS, please use the keywords KKBC1 so that we can find them all in one place! The deadline for this challenge is Sunday, February 8th at 8pm EST to be entered in the draw!

OH! Would you like to know what you can win??? Christine from All That Scraps has generously donated a CCDesigns stamp set of the winner's choice!!! How's that for a supah dupah prize??? So come on, I wanna see some purple birthday cards!!! Heehee!!

Blog Candy Winner!!!!

Oh my!! I can't believe I forgot to post the winner of the Whiff of Joy blog candy!!! I think I'm so full of Christmas Spirit that it just pushed my memory right out my ears!! I'm not kidding!

Anyhoo....the random winner is Tracey from Tray's Spot!!! Just shoot me off a quick email Tracey with your mailing address and I'll pop it in the post right away!!

Peace on Earth Charlotte....and some Christmas Candy!!

I have some super duper Whiff of Joy blog candy for you today, but first the card!!

Since I had my Wassail dp out from yesterday's Hanglar card, I decided to make a card using Angel Charlotte! I also found an awesome sketch to use, over on Our Creative Corner that was perfect for this image.

The card base is Always Artichoke and the rest is the Wassail dp by Basic Grey. I stamped Charlotte on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. I used E53, E51 and E50 colours on her angelic wings and I think they look just right, don't you? I cut her out and pop dotted her on the Nesties layer. I added the sentiment by Papertrey on a strip and gave it a ribbon end, then attached some sparkly Prima poinsettias with a BG brad. The buttons are also from the Wassail line. I finished the card off by adding sparkle to Charlottes wings and star necklace, using my Sakura Stardust gel pen!

Now for the candy!!! I have a wonderful Whiff of Joy Christmas Tree to give away to one lucky winner!! Just leave me a comment here in this post and tell me what was your favourite Christmas gift that you ever received....or gave to someone else!! Leave your comment by Sunday, December 14th at midnight EST and I will post a winner on Monday morning!

Charlie the Chimney Sweep...and Blog Candy!!

Have you seen all the wonderful new winter images at Whiff of Joy?? The new designs by Elisabeth Bell are just gorgeous!! And while I'm waiting for mine to make the trip across the miles, I made this Charlie the Chimney Sweep card!

Apparently, back in the day, Chimney Sweeps were considered good luck! Do you remember the song from Mary Poppins that Dick Van Dyke sings .... "Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey, Chim chim cher-ee! A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be. Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey, Chim chim cher-oo! Good luck will rub off when I shakes 'ands with you. Or blow me a kiss, and that's lucky too!' Love that song.

I decided the card must be distressed and dirty looking to go with the 'sooty' theme, so I used a 6x6 square of Old Olive and sponge around the edges and the dp I used is by We R Memorykeepers. I stamped Charlie on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured him in with my Copics, then distressed around his edges too. I added brown satin ribbon through a metal ribbon slider, added some felt flowers by Heidi Swapp, a green Prima flower, some metal hardware and pop dotted the main layer!

Are YOU feeling lucky??? Well, if you are, you could win the lovely Charlie with matching sentiment!! Just leave me a comment here and tell me something you've won before! And it could be a prize, a random draw, a trophy perhaps! Let me know how lucky you are!! Leave your comment here by Friday, November 14th at midnight EST and I'll draw a random winner to post on Saturday!!!

Also Whiff of Joy has some great specials on the new stamps!!! Hop on over there and check 'em out!! Scoop them up before they're all gone!!

Well, I have the day off from the library today and I plan to stamp my little heart out!!!

High Hopes Challenge #6, Blog Candy and POTM!!

Good Sunday morning stampers!! I hope some of you got an extra hour of sleep this morning with Daylight Savings Time! I forgot to turn my clock back so when I woke up I saw that it was 9am and thought, wow, I actually got to sleep in!! But then I realized it was really only 8am....ugh.

Anyway, it's Sunday again and you know what that means!! It's time for another High Hopes Challenge!! This week's challenge is to create a holiday card with non-traditional colours! So I decided to make a pink and blue Santa!! hahaha!

Part of the reason I wanted to use these colours is because I have the awesome new Be Merry dp by My Mind's Eye that I got from The Town Scrapper! I LOVE this paper and the unusual colour combo for Christmas cards...I love it!!

I decided to ink up my Woodland Santa and colour him using my Copic markers to match the dp. The card base is a 6x6 Soft Sky square and I sewed the dp to a square layer of Pretty in Pink. The beautiful satin polka dot ribbon was given to me but I believe it is from Papertrey, as is the sentiment that I used. I pop dotted Santa and his tree and added a blue button! I think Santa makes a rather cute pink and blue card!!

Now for this week's challenge over at the HH Blog, you will see that there will be some yummy rubber candy for one random participant! If you join in our challenge and link it up in the appropriate post over there, you will be in the running to win some images from the latest release. Just check out this post for all the details!!

Not only that, here's some MORE exciting news!!! The first of the month always brings a new Project of the Month stamp special at High Hopes and you can read about the latest special in THIS POST!!!

Have a great day and I hope you get to stamp something!!!

Willow with Lantern

Thanks so much for all your well wishes for Emileigh....I showed them all to her last night and she really appreciated them. I told her they were from all my 'pretend friends' and she laughed. She is feeling better today and is headed to school this morning. The antibiotics and extra sleep have started to work for her. What a relief!

Today's card is from the Whiff of Joy line of stamps and I think she is so elegant. Willow is dressed up in her holiday finest and doesn't she look pretty???

The card base is a 6x6 Blush Blossom square card and the dp is by Imaginisce. I stamped Willow on Wausau bright white cardstock and used my beloved Copic markers to colour her in. The velvet ribbon is by Making Memories and the Christmas flowers are by Prima. I used matching glittery brads by Imaginisce to attach the flowers and used my oval punch to cut out the sentiment. I pop dotted the main layer and now I have another snazzy Christmas card to add to my pile! Oh wait a minute, I think I may have sold that one already! Oh well. Guess I'd better make some more!!!

Oh and my fellow WOJ Design Team member, Suzy has some rubber goodness up for grabs today. So be sure to head on over to her blog and check it out!!!

Have a stampin' good day everyone!!

The High Hopes Hop Stops HERE!!!

If you are hopping around to all the High Hopes Divas blogs today looking for the Blog Candy.....well, you found it!!! I've got some yummy rubber goodness to give away!!! But first, the card!!

I knew I needed greens for this card so I pulled out my Creative License Simply Scrappin' Kit from SU and used some of the dp from there. The card base is Soft Sky with Blue Bayou and Pumpkin Pie for accents. I stamped the Mushroom stamp on Wausau bright white cardstock and then stamped the Frog Prince separately, coloured and cut him out. I used my circle Nestabilities for the main layers.

I pop dotted the froggie on the mushroom, added some stitched grosgrain ribbon and a heart brad. Then I stamped the Kiss Me sentiment on the bottom of the card base.

Well, as for the blog candy, one lucky random winner will win EACH of these High Hopes stamps PLUS the Sitting Princess stamp as well!!! Pretty awesome, huh?? All you have to do is leave a comment here before Wednesday night at 9pm EST and I will draw the winner and post it then!

Want to hear some other exciting news??? About 37 new images have been added to the High Hopes site today!!!! Yep!!
