Kimmie's New Sympathy Set!

Today is the first day of Krafty Peeks with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and we are kickin' things off with a brand new sentiment set!!

Now, no one likes to have to make sympathy cards, but unfortunately, it's necessary. And so many of my customers have asked for an elegant set of stamps to make sympathy cards with and you know I aim to please!!!

Soooo.....today we are sharing our new Sympathy Sentiments set. The beautiful floral image with this set was drawn by the talented Emilie Goulet! It's a really nice size and fun to colour. The set comes with eight thoughtful phrases in different fonts.

I stamped the image on Neenah cardstock with Memento ink and used my Copic markers to colour it up. I used BG70, BG0000, BG000, BG72 and BG75 on the petals. I coloured the petals in flicks and then went back over it and used the dotting technique as well to give it more texture. I did the same thing on the stem and leaves, using G20, G24, G82, G85 and G99. On the center of the flower I used Y21, Y26 and Y28.

I cut out the main image with my square nesties and sponged around the frame with wheat chalk ink. Then I used my new fancy nesties and cut out this elegant frame from Blue Bayou cardstock. I'm really happy with it. It's the first time I've used these particular nesties and I think it's a perfect style for an elegant card.

The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye and I had originally planned to use several pieces of different patterns from the pad, but I ended up just using the one. The finished card is 5.5 ins square. I added some white ribbon and a bow and then a trio of pearls. Lastly I stamped one of the sentiments on the bottom corner.

I think this flower is just stunning and I've seen some of the other Krafty Girls' creations with it and they are incredible, so be sure to hop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see who has peeks to share today!

I like that this image can be used with the sympathy sentiments but also for any elegant card! You can change it up just by switching out the sentiments......say, a Thinking of You card....a congratulations card, an elegant Happy Birthday...and lots of others!

So how would you like to win this set??? Just leave a comment on each of the Peek posts today and you could be a random winner! I'll announce the winner on the KKS blog tomorrow!! And come on back for more peeks from our July release!!!

Happy kraftin'!!
