Sketch Challenge #2 and some Kimmie's Kandy!!!

Wow!! Yesterday when I hit 20,000 visitors, I thought, 'How cool is that??' When I started this blog back in February, I never expected a) to enjoy it nearly this much, b) to 'meet' so many cool people with the same love of stamping and c) that I would hit such a high number so quickly!!! Thanks so much for visiting me here at my little stamping korner of the world and for making me feel so goooooooooood!!!

So in order to celebrate I thought I'd post a little sketch challenge!!! We had so much fun last time, why not do it again??? This time we are making a LONG card!! For this card I used an AWESOME image from High Hopes Stamps called Noah's Parade!! I had so much fun playing with it....all those animals are so cute!!

The image is stamped on Shimmery white paper and I used my Stampin' Up markers in various colours to shade in the images. Then I sponged around the edge with Chocolate Chip. The card base is So Saffron and the size of the whole piece of paper is 8 1/2 X 7 1/2 and then folded the card front is 8 1/2 X 3 3/4, but you can do whatever size you like, as long as it is a loooooong card! For the matting I used a piece of Basic Grey paper from the Hang 10 collection and adhered my main image WITHOUT pop dots...heehee...off to the left side. I used some orange gingham ribbon at the top and added the All Aboard sentiment on a matted tag (which I did pop dot....*insert giant eye roll here*) and matted it on Pumpkin Pie cardstock with a copper brad. Then I used 3 square copper brads along the right side to fill in the leftover space and finish it off!!! I love the way it turned out and I'm sure you'll be able to make some awesome cards using this sketch!!!

So do you wanna know what you could win??? Well, how about a faux leather portfolio containing TWELVE Prismacolour pencils, complete with a sketch pad and an awesome pencil sharpener????? Pretty awesome, right?? It contains the following pencils: Canary Yellow, Orange, Crimson Red, Violet, Violet Blue, True Blue, Apple Green, Grass Green, Sienna Brown, Dark Brown, Black and White!

All you have to do to have a chance to win, is make a card with using this sketch and comment on this post, linking to your blog or gallery to show off your card. If you don't have a blog or gallery, just email me the pic!! Sound fun?? I will accept entries until midnight EST on Sunday, June 17th!! Happy Stampin'!!!

WOW. What a wonderful prize. I love your challenges, although long cards are really hard for me. Off to play.

Love your card, and the sketch looks like so much fun. I think I know exactly which stamp I'm going to use!

Kimmie, I just love your whimsical sketch. What fun. I really did not have any stamps to even try that whimsical. Since I did not have any stamp sets to work for whimsy, I used the new stamp set
Baroque Motifs. Go take a look at let me know what you think. I had fun with your challenge (as I always do). Thanks for sharing as much as you do. Oh! I love, love, love your give away, I as of yet have not tried Prismacolor pencils. So you would be giving me a great opportunity if I won.

Kimmie, I guess it would have helped if I gave you my website to go look at what I did.

Hi! I am from Finland and I am not sure if I can participate this challenge?!? Your card was so inspiring that I just had to try that! My card is here: http://virpimar.vuodatus.net/blog/647829
I made it for my friends daughter, she turns 6 today. Now I have to make another card for his brother who turns 8 soon. I'll try to use that same layout.
